North American Samsung Galaxy S4 details! SGH-I337
I am also using a Galaxy S1 and absolutely dying to upgrade. Obviously SQ is paramount for me or I wouldn't be running such an old device. I'm really waiting to see what the SQ is like on the US variants of the SGS4 and the HTC One. It all seems rather up in the air at this point. With the...- SV650

Should I hear a difference between my old iPhone 3Gs and my Samsung GS3?
Are you using the international GS3 or the US GS3? Based on your location in Alberta, I would guess international, which means your GS3 has a Wolfson DAC, so it should sound fantastic. It would be no surprise to hear that it's comparable to the 3GS. It's the US variant of the GS3 that...- SV650

Here's my setup.. Please comment and rate!
Poweramp is not really a substitute for Voodoo. It's a software media player that offers better EQ options than the native android media player, whereas voodoo is a hardware-level hack that unlocks features of the Wolfson DAC chip present in some players to improve SQ. Poweramp is great...- SV650

Best Highend Android Smartphone audiowise (with TF10s)
I am so, so close to downgrading from my GS2 to a GS1. I was heartbroken to learn that the US GS3 wasn't getting the Wolfson DAC, and that the international variant with Wolfson wouldn't work on AT&T's LTE network. I suffered with the GS2 for over a year, telling myself "it's not THAT bad" but...- SV650

Quote: Slight recess in the mids, not the best at isolating... the Denons do sound like fantastic headphones, but maybe not for my purposes. I wonder if the D600 is at all different from the D2000/D5000 in either regard? The Shure SRH940 is looking like a fantastic deal at...- SV650

Quote: Good points! Regarding genre, I guess my goal was to have a do-it-all hp, so I'd like something that could reproduce anything well. Realistically though, I listen mostly to indie rock, and maybe a little electronic, but nothing like dubstep that would warrant true...- SV650

Hi all, been lurking on this forum for a week trying to narrow down what headphones to buy, but of course the more I read the harder it gets... and the more I realize I'm going to spend. Here's where I am, would love to hear your opinions, particularly from people who have heard multiple...- SV650
