2018 vintage - Blur Brass coaxial silver 32Ω Balanced 4.4mm

I own both in MMCX versions. If we say MK2 have a rather "in your face" sound, MK32 sound more distant, laid back, slightly more detailed and refined.

2.1.5 firmware was not really into bass as I remember. It was rather a large, airy, analytical sound. Perhaps you could try EQ

Well, I don't have the DX90 MM2 anymore. As I remember, I have tried every single firmware, official from Ibasso and Lurker ones to find the one I prefer. My favorite was the 2.5.1 L0. From memory I would suggest you to try 2.4.0 L1. Btw did you get some new battery such as Jubatec ones?

With MM2, still difference in sound with firmware change. But SQ will be greatly enhanced, no more that narrow sensation. On one hand, you have to try every firmware (factory reset after each update). On the other hand, you can find your favorite sound. Mine was 2.5.1 L0 :beerchug:

Yes, agreed. What matters to me first is what the maker has achieved soundwise with the parts he chose, more than the parts used alone. And TM9 are TOTL earbuds without a doubt. Of course we can always wonder, what if it comes with this part or that part, actually I don't care much about this.

When I tried newer firmwares, I also experienced the rather strong bass presentation and overall narrower presentation, that's why I have kept using "Airy" 2.8.198 L0 with Amp8, I am happy with the resulting sound presentation, well this is the least I can do myself as a non-DIYer...

Do CAX Black and Black Dragon come with a chin slider? With Diomnes Lv2, the chin slider allows me to lock cables just under my chin, and this minimizes the risk that buds would fall off my ears when I move my head or yawn... Don't know about these two CAX.. By the way, congratulations on the...

I tried it a few days ago, I found the purist ROM delivers a flatter and wider sound than 2.5.1 L, same SQ. Since I don't own cans that pair well with this kind of sound, I kept the Lurker firmware :) Very nice to have an other very good firmware to try for us, users. :beerchug:

Glad for you mate. :beerchug: ATH M50x, which I found them sounding flat and "boring", I would not pair them with DX90 on 2.5.1 by Lurker as well.
