I'd research these DAC/AMPs: Aune T1 (200$) Audinst HUD-mx1 (179$) and HUD-mini (129$) Topping D1 Mark 2 (90$) FiiO E10 (40$+) * Although I don't like FiiO's quality control

Thank you. I think I'll go for the Topping. It's like 40$ cheaper than HUD-mini. I wanted to buy Aune T1, but it'll be impossible for me right now.

Thank you for a good review. Can you tell a little bit more about the built quality of Topping D1 (especially in comparison with HUD-mini)? I know that Audinst makes a quality stuff, but what about Topping? Please give your impressions on the case and headphone jack.

I have K514 mkii version. They are very comfy and design is good too, but the sound is lacking. It's spacious and clear, but there is no "pressure" to the sound. You don't really feel the soul of the music. I'd recommend it for movies and gaming, but not for music. I think k514's almost...

Good thread. This DAC is a real gem. I read only good things about it. I've no experience with Magnum cans. Can I still consider them Grados (at least in sound sig. department)? My cans at the moment are HD598, Alessandro MS1 and some cheap AKGs. Can you give more impressions about how...
