New, Fully Balanced Burson Conductor 3X: Dual ESS9038, 7.5wpc XLR, 3.75wpc SE Headamp, Changeable Opamps
th Thanks, I appreciate the response. I have a Conductor (original) and Timekeeper as my lounge setup but am looking for a bedroom headfi only setup here to compliment. Using LCD-2 (pre-fazer) and Monitor Audio PL range bookshelf speakers right now, but looking to replace the LCD-2 with either...- AshUsername

New, Fully Balanced Burson Conductor 3X: Dual ESS9038, 7.5wpc XLR, 3.75wpc SE Headamp, Changeable Opamps
Hmm. My Conductor 3 pre-order hasn't shipped yet. decisions ... could this be a better fit? Pity they didn't announce this sooner as 'coming soon' so people could make an informed decision regarding buying the 3 or waiting for the 3x. I notice the specs info on the site is incorrect for the 3x...- AshUsername

New, Burson Conductor 3 Reference: Dual 9038 DAC, 7.5Wpc Head Amp, Preamp, Changeable Opamps
The style change does mean a disconnect with the two Timekeeper products. Those with a Timekeeper are less likely to jump to a Conductor 3. Do we think a new generation of Timekeeper products will follow using MCPS? Or can MCPS not scale to higher watts needed for powering large speakers?- AshUsername

Burson Conductor - DAC/amp successor to the HA-160D
Very nice. Needs pics! Unfortunately I am limited to head-fi right now in my shared apartment with wafer thin walls but the timekeeper will definitely be an option once I get my own place. Have you managed to solved the hissing yet?- AshUsername

Burson Conductor - DAC/amp successor to the HA-160D
Quote: I haven't tried it as I am headfi only since I moved to a New York apartment with thin walls, but according to the manual it switches to pre-amp mode when headphones are disconnected. So it is either one or the other, not both.- AshUsername

Burson Conductor - DAC/amp successor to the HA-160D
So far, the increase in details and instrument seperation/clarity is very apparent. Coming from a 160DS this is my first encounter with a stepped attenuator which no doubt contributes to those details. I am not feeling any improvements in bass depth/punch over the 160DS yet or at least as far...- AshUsername

Burson Conductor - DAC/amp successor to the HA-160D
Yep, you're right. I have been usng a 160DS for a year and a half happily but all this talk of the Conductor being so much better started dragging me down so I had to step up and try it for myself. I only have about 15 hours on it so it will be a while yet till I can decide if the hype is...- AshUsername

New Audeze LCD3
Thanks K_19. Im going to try CanDudes idea for a while and see if I can make that work first before trying to replace the headband, but that certainly remains an option. Quote:- AshUsername

New Audeze LCD3
Thanks CanDude, I think it is caused by the weight concentrating on a small area of the top two cushions for me. I'll be a little more aggressive with my squeezing of the headband as you described. I had tried this before, but not so hard and was just trying to increase clamp a little, not alter...- AshUsername

New Audeze LCD3
justin w, my LCD-2 r2 bamabo were purchased in July 2012. Weight of 488 is with leather pads, but without cables. Even at this weight I find them heavy. Its not so much the weight but I do get a pressure feeling/pain on the top of my head after a while. I find myself squeezing them together more...- AshUsername

Burson Conductor - DAC/amp successor to the HA-160D
One more thing, I only use Spotify premium high bitrate option. With that in mind could the Conductor be held back by the input too much, or even reveal problems with teh source that the ha-160ds might blend in?- AshUsername

Burson Conductor - DAC/amp successor to the HA-160D
I've been on a HA-160ds since december 2011 with and was always very satisified, but unfortuneately this Conductor model has my attention. Some people people here such as Darku have compared it positively against the HA-160d, so one assumes its even slightly more ahead of the 160ds model but...- AshUsername

New Audeze LCD3
Hey guys, my LCD-2s r2 weigh in at 488 grams. Just wondering if the more recent revisions of the LCD-3 have dropped to this level or below or do they still come in at closer to 550 grams.- AshUsername

The Audeze LCD-2 Ortho thread (New)
Just joined the LCD-2 club today. Given the interest here in the weight of these cans in the past I decided to weigh them and was pleasently surprised, though the difference from my HD-650 will still take some getting used to. I have LCD-2r2 bamboo leather @ 488 grams.- AshUsername
