Headphones - WORN!!! - new thread - no nudity
Quote: I didn't realize just how muddy The Stretch's were until I got my HFI-580s, but I gotta say, they are the most comfortable set of headphones I've ever put on. You could wear the things all day everyday, no problem. Light as a feather, ear pads like clouds, and that stretch headband...- linvillegorge

Will the Sony XB-700's work with a mobile phone? (Droid Charge)
Why are you so obsessed with getting down the 3 Hz? You're aware that the human hearing range usually starts in the 20 Hz range, right? And that most dubstep "bass" is actually mid-bass, right?- linvillegorge

Looking for a cheap but durable pair for my dad: under $100.
There was a link for the M50s for $99 on the deals thread recently. Not sure if it's still going on or not.- linvillegorge

Which Headphones to buy for college?
Quote: Quite a few, but no customs. I work for a manufacturer of a lot of in-ear type stuff. We ship each product with quite a few gel options that are tested to fit the vast majority of people. None of them work well for me. Maybe I'm just weird. I'd say it's likely.- linvillegorge

Which Headphones to buy for college?
The bad thing about IEMs in my experience is that I've never found a pair that were both really comfortable and fit really securely. It seemed like I was always forced to choose between one or the other.- linvillegorge

Looking for some new cans, preferably under $100
New cans just aren't worth $200+ to me. I listen to them a bit at home and while travelling, but that's about it. I want good cans, but I'm honest about my usage. I probably average 2 hours a week of listening. Just not enough to rationalize $200+ in my opinion. Snowboarding is...- linvillegorge

Which Headphones to buy for college?
Quote: I predict you end up selling them for beer money before your second semester. Either that or they get stolen. Stolen is probably more likely, actually. Not hatin', just being honest. Unless your family is loaded and generous, you have no clue how broke you're about to...- linvillegorge

Looking for some new cans, preferably under $100
I appreciate the heads up, but I have about $1200 chilling in my Amazon account right now with nothing really planned for it. It's probably going to get translated into headphones and new HDTV.- linvillegorge

Which Headphones to buy for college?
You're heading to college and have a $400 budget? Damn son... Those were the best years of my life, but they were also the most broke ass years of my life. There was a whole lot of literally digging the change out of the couch to buy 40s back in those days.- linvillegorge

Looking for some new cans, preferably under $100
I haven't tried that particular Senn, but every Senn I've ever listened to sounded flat and boring to me. They didn't sound bad, their signature just didn't do much for me. I've pretty much committed to bumping my budget a bit at this point to get one of the 3 cans I mentioned in my last...- linvillegorge

Looking for some new cans, preferably under $100
Anything? Hell, I may just end up buying all three on Amazon and returning the two I don't want to keep, but I'd rather not be bothered with that.- linvillegorge

Where to buy high end headphones in Colorado?
I'd say a little bit of both. They were definitely fairly filthy, bit I didn't care for the clunky design and the headband felt like a cheap $15 headphone.- linvillegorge

What say the board in terms of comfort? I have plenty of 4+ hour flights, so that could be the tie breaker for me. In addition to music across the spectrum, there will be plenty of movie watching too.- linvillegorge

Where to buy high end headphones in Colorado?
Yeah, I looked up ListenUp online and they don't carry anything that I'm looking at. They're really heavy on Grados. I had no clue about the existence of Musician's Superstore. Thanks for the heads up. I'll swing by there when I get a chance. G.C. did at least have the DT770s...- linvillegorge

ATH-WS55 is out. I want around the ear, not on the ear. Another contender has entered the fray. M-Audio Q40. I'm pretty much between: ATH-M50 Ultrasone HFI-580 M-Audio Q40 I've decided to stretch my budget a bit to get something I know I'll be happy with long-term. I'm...- linvillegorge

Where to buy high end headphones in Colorado?
Well, I hit up the Guitar Center at Sheridan and 36 today and it was a disaster. That place is a mess. I have no idea how they ever sell anything with their merchandising. They had headphones scattered between three different areas and their demo station had the cords so tangled that you...- linvillegorge
