Looks like my WooAudio WA7 finally bit the dust last night. With that piece missing I won't be attending this meetup :frowning2:- LNCPapa

The All-New WA7 Fireflies from Woo Audio
Mine finally bit the dust last night - will no longer present the DAC to my machines no matter how long I leave it on first. My WA7 is toast unless I get a DAC to put in the chain :frowning2: Unfortunately that means I can't attend my scheduled headphone meet up this coming Saturday- LNCPapa

The All-New WA7 Fireflies from Woo Audio
It's definitely the DAC or USB controller - unfortunately I tried reporting this issue much earlier and didn't get anywhere - now it's just not worth the $70+ just to have someone "look" at it. As I mentioned before I tried this on several machines running several OSes and with several...- LNCPapa

The All-New WA7 Fireflies from Woo Audio
FWIW I did test it out on several PCs and 3 different Macs. Until it warmed up none of them could see it. Once it is seen by the system, as long as your don't reboot or power down the machine you can turn off your WA7 whenever you please. If it is off and you reboot (and it's not already...- LNCPapa

The All-New WA7 Fireflies from Woo Audio
It's not a driver issue HiFi - it's a hardware issue of some sort. I contacted WA about this almost 2 years ago but was quoted something a bit more than I thought I should have to pay to get it corrected. I have found a workaround though to getting mine working... I power it up disconnected...- LNCPapa

Sennheiser x Massdrop HD6XX Review / Preview - Head-Fi TV
Mine just showed up as well - serial 03xxx also. I was really hoping I was first 500 since I was sitting in wait for the sale to start but was trampled by the traffic the site faced. Oh well - still happy to have them.- LNCPapa

I really need to hear those TH-X00 - I was so close to buying them on massdrop but timing was not optimal due to some life changes but I need to know what I missed out on and if I need to be on the lookout for the next sale. Thanks for picking up the slack on these. I will also likely bring...- LNCPapa

The Audeze LCD-2 Ortho thread (New)
Shane is awesome and really seems to want to make the end user's process as smooth as possible. You should try to visit a headphone meet he's attending - then you'll really see how great a guy he is.- LNCPapa

50% chance I'll be there and I'll be bringing friends who are interested in sliding down this slippery slope. If we stick to the 19th I'm at 99% - 26th and I'm at 1% chance. I'll be bringing LCD2.2 non-fazor + WooAudio WA7.- LNCPapa

The Audeze LCD-2 Ortho thread (New)
I don't know... hardbop's math seems about right to me. Take an LCD-3 and divide by two - that gives you LCD-1.5. Add that to the half of your LCD-2 that is working (which makes it an LCD-1) and you now have an LCD-2.5... perhaps better than what you started with! Better than my LCD-2.2 anyway!- LNCPapa

Battle Of The Flagships (58 Headphones Compared)
It is unfortunate and everyone needs to remember that not everyone is built the same way. Even small differences in weight can affect someone in a very negative manner. Lucky for me it doesn't bother my head/neck and the clamping isn't too bad for me either. I hope you find something that...- LNCPapa

I don't remember a 233 ever getting anywhere close to that. I know it was a pretty big deal for me to get my Celeron 300A to 504.- LNCPapa

Mini North Carolina Triangle Meetup Impressions
First... thanks very much for hosting this TheChillburger. I had a great time and toward the end the only thing that kept running through my mind was why don't we do this more often? I'm really happy that some of us are getting to know each other fairly well (even though I suck at names and... -

The Audeze LCD-2 Ortho thread (New)
The main thing I like about the 2.2 over previous versions is the angled connectors. The straight wood connectors had many people complaining about cracking in the wood. The difference in the sound isn't as drastic to me between the older versions and the 2.2 when compared to the 2.2 fazors...- LNCPapa

The Audeze LCD-2 Ortho thread (New)
I own the 2.2 non-fazor in bamboo and have listened to all the other flavors of LCD-2. I prefer mine over all of them but found that I prefer the non-fazor LCD-3 over everything else. It's pretty hard to get the non-fazor LCDs now as they're no longer in production so the pairs that are out...- LNCPapa

Yeah - I forgot there was a sex scene in Terminator. I made the kids watch The Matrix a couple months ago and they loved it. I also made them watch The Dark Crystal 2 nights ago. I really enjoy forcing my kids to watch movies I loved from my childhood. They both love The Princess Bride now -...- LNCPapa

You could even color code your headphones by labeling some of them bright down to warm for things like the 650 or LCDs.- LNCPapa
