PSB M4U1 - Thoughts?
Here's hoping you will enjoy your new cans as much as the many who already have them. I've got the M4U 2, but I listen primarily on my PC with the amp off, so for the most part it's essentially a M4U 1 with some additional weight. I also don't notice the sibilance that some do, but I don't...- DnB4Guy

PSB M4U 2
Well I spoke with PSB support about this, and I'm more than happy with their support. They had me send them back and replaced the second pair that had a cracked headband, even though they were out of the warranty period. They have made me a happy camper as I just got them back this week...- DnB4Guy

PSB M4U 2
Well, for me it seems the "durability" has been settled. These are definitely not a headphone I would recommend due to the very brittle plastic. I've had a second pair crack, and now that they are out of warranty, I suspect I have nothing more than a cheap plastic frame that can no longer...- DnB4Guy

Comparisons: 36 of the Top Closed/Portable Headphones Around
Isn't that something. Of all the headphones you've tried, Mr. Paul Barton and all his minions have designed 2 of your top 4 headphones in terms of sound quality. Now it just looks like (according to your charts) he needs to get a bit more in touch with the designing of them, and construction. ...- DnB4Guy

NAD Viso HP50 : Another superb headphone from Paul Barton?
Can you guys/gals who are hearing this "echoing" please name the recording that you are listening to when you heard this. I've got over 800 CDs, and I've heard this echo thing too, but only on 1 CD. This tells me, the echo was part of the medium and not the headphones. If there are enough...- DnB4Guy

NAD Viso HP50 : Another superb headphone from Paul Barton?
Quote: This wasn't an "oversight" by PSB. They made a statement at some point last year on their Facebook page noting that there were some "licensing" or other legal issues with Apple (& others?) regarding the allowance of "volume control" on their devices. Nice to know that us M4U 2...- DnB4Guy

KEF new headphones!
Quote: Sounds a lot like how you described the PSB M4U...but you mentioned these KEF sound like a combo of the MDR-1R & Momentum. How would you say they compare to the PSB (this is what I was hoping you'd A/B with)? Cheers- DnB4Guy

NAD Viso HP50 : Another superb headphone from Paul Barton?
Quote: In this case, I'll trust PSB who made the headphones. Here's a quote from their specs from their site: http://www.psbspeakers.com/products/headphones/M4U-1-Headphones " The latest M4U addition is the M4U 1 Over-Ear Headphone, which offers our Room Feel™ technology and the same...- DnB4Guy

NAD Viso HP50 : Another superb headphone from Paul Barton?
Quote: IIRC he said that initially about PSB's M4U 2 after measuring them upon their release and then later flip-flopped and said that they were so bad he didn't even want to review them. These NAD headphones spout the same room-feel feature that Tyll is eager about but he made...- DnB4Guy

PSB M4U 2
Quote: +1. These have to rank as one of the best audio purchases I've ever made. 13 months of use and still sounding awesome! I'm just puzzled as to why there is still very little talk of these cans on the forums (here and others)...?- DnB4Guy

PSB M4U 2
Quote: I'm probably just a "skewed bit of data" but I have no problems wearing these (M4U 2) for over 12 hours a day. I will take them off periodically for a couple minutes to allow the ears to breathe if I'm wearing them for a long period...they're closed cans and will make your ears...- DnB4Guy

PSB M4U 2
Quote: I think I read on PSB's facebook page that they didn't have a volume control because of some license issues but they were considering it for future products. So I'm sure you can't get one from PSB but maybe others can? Glad to read that you are enjoying your new cans. I'd...- DnB4Guy

Sennheiser Amperior: The Rivals?
Quote: I find them to be quite balanced. There's some graphs that Tyll did on Inner Fidelity showing FR numbers among other measurements (I can't find the link, but I've got a copy of it). Nothing really WOW's from them except that they sound like they should. Not a lot of colour in...- DnB4Guy

Sennheiser Amperior: The Rivals?
Quote: I've only got the M4U 2, but I find the isolation is pretty good with these, and I'd expect the same for the M4U 1. They'll drown out a lot of noise from the world...they stop me from hearing my whiny cats but I can still hear my phone ring if I'm close enough to it.- DnB4Guy

Sennheiser Amperior: The Rivals?
I'm not surprised that nobody has yet mentioned the PSB M4U 1 headphones. Not a lot of talk about them, but I do know that there are a few folks with them and/or the M4U 2, which are almost the same headphone sonically. Check 'em out...- DnB4Guy

PSB M4U1 - Thoughts?
Here's a very good read on the M4U 1 compared to others in the same price-class/category. Tyll from Head-Fi seems to like the M4U 1 more than the M4U 2 at least according to this writing: http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/best-300ish-headphone/ edit: "So why the PSB M4U 1s? Every single...- DnB4Guy
