Why would you think that? You probably wouldn’t think anything of spending three times on a cable, when pads make probably more of a difference than a cable.

I have but not in a long time. Newer doesn't always make better. Just a different direction. The X still has the Mojo house sound but maybe not quite as organic. It is more dynamic though. I always wonder when they make such a drastic change in the chassis, and a lot smaller what the reason is.

Nah. First and foremost the OG has incredible bass, which unfortunately can overpower the sound and take away some of that resolution. The OG is my favorite. It’s still may be a meaningful upgrade for you, but I don’t find the description you gave to be accurate. At least to me personally.

In my opinion, I don’t think the tuning is that similar at all.

New K22 owner here. Got it set up and running yesterday. Need to go through all the menus to figure out what I should change or set up. For some some crazy reason I thought that it came with an SSD, and so I just ordered a Samsung PM893 SSD. It seems that this is the go to SSD.

I don’t hear it that way, that is if you’re saying, the stock pads are the F pads. Definitely better balanced than the G pads, but the F pads come off as thin sounding to me.
