MEE Audio BTX1 Bluetooth MMCX Cable -- Any owners?
I got the MEE Bluetooth BTX1 and connected my Shure SE 846 with them and here is what I experienced with it... + AAC and AptX Sound quality (that is what I bought it for as the Shure bluetooth cable doesn't have any of that... yeah really What were you thinking Shure...) + Quality MMCX... -
Buy "OSSIC X" or not?
Well, that sounds promising for sure... Brooko is right also though, not until the headphones are on the market is anyone on this post in a solid position to judge those headphones. I ordered them as one of the first 100 backers on Kickstarter and I am of course very much looking forward to...- petralian

Yes, it is supposed to do that. For stereo, you can also have this effect. You can see that shown in their app demo:- petralian

Buy "OSSIC X" or not?
Just keep reminding yourself, why do I wanna buy this? A. For gamers, these headphones should be a great investment as they should provide a more immersive environment. B. For audiophiles, not so much... The drivers and hardware are not focused on that. C. For VR enthusiasts, again a great...- petralian

Buy "OSSIC X" or not?
Hi Pr4xxis... http://www.avsforum.com/ossic-x-3d-immersive-headphones-canjam-socal-2017/ The over-ear, closed-back Ossic X includes four drivers in each earcup—a 31mm mid-bass dome driver in the center and three 14mm cone drivers above and on both sides of the central driver. This design is...- petralian

Buy "OSSIC X" or not?
It's a good step in the right direction to finally have a detailed look at the headphones and see the real thing. I wish this video was a bit longer and would go into more detail about the connectivity also but I can understand the commercial reasons for not doing so. Frankly some teasers for...- petralian

It appears the secrecy goes far beyond just the drivers. https://www.ossic.com/blog/2017/4/3/nobodyepic-drops-by-ossic-hq Ossic X on head with wire running out... from the front left side, not right side?? Why not add a clip to bundle cables on the back with Vive cables if this is a VR...- petralian

Buy "OSSIC X" or not?
I am interested into exactly what drivers they will use... it would be great if they work with a known sound lab to get the drivers from them but since they have not advertised about this yet, I guess its an OEM manufacturer (Logitech supplier perhaps?) that is making the drivers. I really hope...- petralian

Sennheiser IE60 Review and Impressions Thread ~
I am still using my IE60's and for me they have excellent isolation, however some others pointed out there are other models that have even better isolation... but in my opinion if no environment sound at all can come through anymore and no air at all can get in your IEM's then it cannot be too...- petralian

WORST headphone you ever heard?
Agh... the crap they dare to pass on the airplanes for listening to music or the avod. It feels wrong (really... the mould must have been a basketball of some sorts), sounds wrong (unless classical music is done on plastic instruments?) and when you put em on, the whole airplane can listen in...- petralian

knowing Power requirements of earphones - How?
The S3 sensitivity seems to be too low for your phone to handle. I am using Sennheiser IE60's (115 dB and 16 Ohm) and those run fantastic on my Galaxy S3. They have higher sensitivity compare to the S3 and lower Ohm. Read this...- petralian

Sennheiser IE60 Review and Impressions Thread ~
Quote: Regretfully not, since I work and live in China (I am an expat) I had to buy it from the Sennheiser official website which means no tryout. A friend of mine here owns the fake IE80's... the fixture of the fake vs real IE80 is identical but the components inside is of...- petralian

Quote: Good to hear it :-) I certainly do! I just feel the IE60's are undervalued here at head-fi because they aren't even included in the big IEM review thread and are constantly compared to IE80 while the armature isn't even the same. and no... I am not working for...- petralian

lol yes I agree, at first they sounded bland to me too... listen again in a few days after some hours of burning in. It's in the details ~ they are a whole different level compared to the apple buds. Check my page one comments and the link to the review by the other person... she also mentioned...- petralian

Quote: What Lee said :-) when I burned in my IE60s I had to wrap em in 2 towels and I still could hear the white noise of jlabs... I put the jlabs player at 50% and my windows volume at 50%. When you put your IE60's in your ears you can stand the noise but it is just too loud and not...- petralian

I think same happened on IE6 to IE60... The armature is still very much the same but some small changes had been made like for example now the vent holes are top and bottom instead of side all around. IE6 IE60 I certainly hope the IE60 gets some attention by a HS...- petralian

Quote: Oh well that confirms the fact you should not buy an IE6 if the price difference is not much compared to IE60 because for sure the same quality improvement will count for IE60 in that case. Thanks for this Lee730, I have not found this comment anywhere else but this does mean...- petralian

Definitely don't do max volume... they are still speakers and as such you will hurt / kill them if you use max volume at long times for a burn in. I used http://www.jlabaudio.com/burn.php for my burn in at around 65% volume on windows for a few nights and it did improve the sound.- petralian
