Beyerdynamic MMX 300 - No Stereo Separation
Just realized that this is the same problem I had 2 years ago. Except now it's not in warranty. Figured after I got them repaired I'd have no problems. :( http://www.head-fi.org/t/613329/mono-sound-over-stereo-headphones#post_8624781- lpkdoop

Beyerdynamic MMX 300 - No Stereo Separation
Recently my headphones are playing both left and right channels over both ear phones. I was wondering what the cause is and possible fixes. They are no longer in warranty. I tried using both on board Realtek HD as well as a usb sound card (ASUS Xonar U3), and running spdif out to my blu ray...- lpkdoop

Closed Headphones for Competitive Gaming
Quote: Thanks again for the input, These will be strictly for tournaments at lan centers. We can't just show up with our own sound cards and pop open the case and install them. So what we get is what they have. Sometimes they got xfi/xonar sometimes they don't.- lpkdoop

Closed Headphones for Competitive Gaming
i personally use the mmx 300 which is comparable to the dt770 i believe. no third party sound card in most cases. the lans mainly have onboard realtek :( he uses his current open headphones or speakers when playing at home. this pair is strictly for loud/noisy lan enviroments- lpkdoop

Mono sound over stereo headphones
Should I consider just sending this in to repair center for recabling? The microphone is beginning to short as well. Also, I have learned this my soundcard does this no matter what, so I am back to on board.- lpkdoop

Mono sound over stereo headphones
Quote: Beyerdynamic MMX 300 Split left and right I've checked all the connections. I am gonna redo the ground just to make sure. I don't think I over heated it as I do quite a bit of soldering. Quote: Thanks- lpkdoop

Mono sound over stereo headphones
I broke my plug a long time ago. I had soldered the wires from another plug to my headphones plug and that worked for the longest time. The solder just recently came undone, so I decided to redo it. Now my headphones play mono (same level out of both ears). Any ideas?- lpkdoop
