Focal Stellia Review, Measurements, Interview - Head-Fi TV
Nice, I hate I sold my C9. It's was a perfect companion with the Mojo 2. It sounded and performed just as good as some desktop systems I owned in the past.- Slim1970

Focal Stellia Review, Measurements, Interview - Head-Fi TV
I have the Stellia's and HE-R10P's as my two closed back headphones of choice. I listened to the Stealth's and they are good on the right system. Dan Clark's headphones can be very demanding. The Stellia's are to easy to drive and sound great on just about any gear. To me that's their hat trick...- Slim1970

Focal Stellia Review, Measurements, Interview - Head-Fi TV
Yeah, the Stellia's are a noticeable step from the Elegia's. Glad you enjoyed the demo. They are definitely one of my favorite closed back headphones I've heard that suits my sonic preferences.- Slim1970

Focal Stellia Review, Measurements, Interview - Head-Fi TV
I owned the Elegia's for a stint and the Stellia’s is an upgrade in just about every way. The Stellia’s has better driver control which translates to better, tighter bass. The Stellia’s sound fuller with a bit more warmth. Imaging is more accurate, instrument separation is next level, treble is...- Slim1970

The MJ3 is still on my short list to pair with Yggy A2. You are making a good case for me to pull the trigger. You had some great gear come through your home and I wonder if the MJ3 has some staying power?- Slim1970

ETHER 2: Impressions and Discussion

ETHER 2: Impressions and Discussion
What are you planning on driving the E2's with? They sound the best with neutral amps and DAC's to my ears. Since the E2's do have a warm tilt to them. Staging on the E2's is not the widest or deepest I've heard, but they are good enough to not sound closed in. I enjoy my E2's quite a bit as...- Slim1970

Woo Audio TUBE mini Balanced Headphone Amplifier/DAC
Thanks for the reply. I like that it keeps the Tube Mini stable. One of the Tube Mini shortcomings is that when you move it, the tubes ring. The tubes eventually back settle down and the great sound returns, but it does take away from the music briefly.- Slim1970

ZMF Verite Closed-New Closed Back ZMF Flagship.
I have a Zen Can and I also find it to be very, very good at driving headphones. When I had the Abyss Diana V2's I found the pairing to be excellent. The Zen Can is a very underrated compact amp with great features.- Slim1970

HIFIMAN HE-R10 Closed-Back Headphones Discussion & Impressions
The tuning is slightly warmer, but just as detailed, if not more than the TH-900's. I think you will enjoy the R10P's with more music genres in my opinion.- Slim1970

HIFIMAN HE-R10 Closed-Back Headphones Discussion & Impressions
Different headphones. The TH-900's have big bass, but it's flabby and loose in comparison to the R10P's. The TH-900's have a brighter treble with a v-shaped tuning. The R10P's are much better balanced with a more present and nuanced midrange. The bass is tighter, just as impactful with more sub...- Slim1970

Fostex TH909 Announcement
Yes, the TH-909's are truly a unique sounding headphone. They are not trying to be the most technical headphones out here. Yet they have enough technicalities to compete with other top tier headphones at their price point and somewhat above. The TH-909's have top notch clarity and great...- Slim1970

Cayin C9: Dual Nutube, Fully Balanced Class A/AB Portable HeadAmp
I had the C9 and WA8 at the same time. They both were great, the WA8 had a heftier low end and was a little more detailed. Had it had a balanced connection I probably would've held onto to it. I kept the C9 as it was really close in overall performance to the WA8 with more power. I feed both...- Slim1970
