I listened to the first with my m50's around mid volume. I can see what you mean but it doesn't hurt my ears perse. Perhaps its just the sensitivity of your ears that makes it more pronounced. Hope you get the issue resolved ive been nothing but happy with my m50's.

UPDATE : Went ahead and sold the Logitech Speakers for 160 so I made 40 on purchase price which is nice. Replacing them with a Sony SS B-3000 and a TA2020 amp.
