adding a light at bottom or temporaly lighting up the dark area of the page you can keep the personal touch of color while keeping the buisness presentation. it would be equally welcoming if not more if you decide to splash the page with colors or shapes with a unifying color or alternating...

ARggh lost my post! Personally I think your website could use some flow from left to right and more subtle or a subliminal interface for that personal business taste. Yeah, the color scheme is very nice.
