Computer audio has a lot of noise induced by mouse movement, pictures changing on screen, games, etc.
Thanks again to everyone. I explored the grounloop issues and ended up buying this. http://www.ebtechaudio.com/humxdes.html My computer is the only thing plugged into it, and everything else is plugged into a power center. My Woo audio amp is crystal clear right now. I'm gonna test my...- liquidchaos

Quote: Hi, Thanks for the info. Nothing is overclocked right now, the ram is running in x.m.p mode which is 1.65v, it's rated at 1.65v. I tried to up it a little but it didn't do anything, so I put it back to x.m.p. I haven't tried changing the ram sticks. I will look into that...- liquidchaos

Computer audio has a lot of noise induced by mouse movement, pictures changing on screen, games, etc.
Quote: Hi, I'll look into a USB isolator. If I plug headpheones directly into the Titanium HD there is not any noise at all, super clear. If I plug the headphones directly into the Recon3D it is also clear. I only have the volume at about 30% when I don't use an amp as the...- liquidchaos

Computer audio has a lot of noise induced by mouse movement, pictures changing on screen, games, etc.
I was told that if I move the my audio card out of the system via USB I shouldn't have the problem. I forgot that I had a Soundblaster Recon3D USB for my playstation when I needed to use it with headphones on a monitor instead of a TV. I hooked it up and it still has the same problem. It's not...- liquidchaos

Computer audio has a lot of noise induced by mouse movement, pictures changing on screen, games, etc.
Oh wow... I haven't messed around with IRQ settings since I was a kid and it was required to install things :P That's like the 386/486 days for me. But I followed the link and it took me to the irq allocation list. My sound card is listed under (16) along with a few other things including my...- liquidchaos

Hi, Thanks for the reply. I read that thread but it didn't help. When I disable my mic it doesn't make any difference in the noise the mouse generates. And the mic wouldn't accound for the noise that happens when the picture cycles on the kexp webpage.- liquidchaos

Computer audio has a lot of noise induced by mouse movement, pictures changing on screen, games, etc.
Hello, I play a fair amount of games, and listen to music secondly, but not a whole lot. I was thinking about just getting an external dac but because I mostly play games I would prefer to keep my soundcard, unless anyone thinks otherwise? I have a Titanium HD that I sometimes...- liquidchaos

Shaving, gents
Nice setup. My sister just took a position with a company that handles shaving gear. She's gonna set me up with some nice stuff, but I fear the straight razor :0.- liquidchaos

Pictures of your computer rigs! Post them here!
Look nice, I love black with white tubing. I had some water-cooling stuff on order then decided to stick with air, always love the dimension a good watercooling setup adds to a rigs look. I'll post mine soon as I'm done with it. Quote:- liquidchaos

Recommended Headphone Amp for Denon AH-D2000?
That amp looks like it says it uses a 1/8mini and 1/4 jack, both of those are like the ones you plug headphones into. You could probably get a RCA --> 1/8 mini-jack, the RCA jacks would plug into your TVs sound out, and the jack to the input on the amp. You then obviously plug you headphones...- liquidchaos

something i do not understand
Ya, that's definately a problem with lots of stores and with regards to many product displays. I remember I was looking to buy a 120hz monitor, the display was setup in 3D mode..I asked if they could put the monitor to normal mode and was told it was setup to demonstrate 3D mode...so I asked...- liquidchaos

I've not had mine for long but I have heard some noises here and there. When things are playing and I'm not messing with settings it seems to be fine.- liquidchaos
