Eversolo DMP-A8 Streamer, DAP, DAC and Preamp
Haven't seen this posted here, so here goes. I can confirm that I2S connection from A8 to Holo Audio May works. I have set the pin out to option 1 on the A8 and Alt 1 on the May. Connecting via HDMI:- Henrik Nordberg

I googled for RCA 2A3 black plates, but I don't see an obvious safe place to get them from. Do you have a go-to for those?- Henrik Nordberg

In what sense stingy? Did you have issues processing returns within the 1 year of warranty?- Henrik Nordberg

Wow, that one is $1.59 here. Could something that cheap really be better than the stock one? I'm not saying it isn't, of course -- I haven't heard it. But why wouldn't Donald have picked it then? Yeah, this is true. I'm very happy with the performance of the stock Stellaris. But it is fun to...- Henrik Nordberg

Serial #35 checking in. Have had the unit for about a year now and have been loving every minute of it. I'm curious about tube upgrades. If it is not too much trouble, it would be great to hear what upgrades other owners have landed on! Please share your tube upgrades. What worked and what...- Henrik Nordberg

Interesting... It's the reason I chose *not* to order the stepped attenuator: the thinking being that you would only have a limited few steps usable for the Utopia vs. ability to stop 'in between' steps with the normal continuous attenuator. With the stepped attenuator, how many steps are...- Henrik Nordberg

Yeah, I cleaned off the flux before testing so the flux there is where I reflowed. Thanks for your suggestions! Will try as soon as I get a chance.- Henrik Nordberg

y1 gamma-1 DAC
I am missing the transmitting fiber optic module. Is it OK to just leave it unpopulated? I am building a y2 and have the y1 board done (apart from fiber out). I tried to test it as a Full++ and it is recognized by Windows and the led turns green when music plays, but there is only...- Henrik Nordberg

The LCDuino-1 I/O processor
I always thought a DIY audio project, like the M3 or y1, should be brought out as a Make project, this goes the other way around but still brings those communities together. This is excellent. While volume and source indication is nice, showing data that is otherwise hidden would be even...- Henrik Nordberg

Post pics of your builds....
Thanks! This was my first build in 22 years. But now I am excited to get going with the y2. Will be a good companion to the m3. Also, perhaps the most striking high-res disk I enjoyed today was the Flaming Lips At war with the mystics... DVD-A (24-bit/88.2 kHz). Though I have a feeling...- Henrik Nordberg

Post pics of your builds....
I finished a s11 + m3 build last night and have been listening to the combo the whole day. It sounds wonderful. Haven't really heard some of the music like this before. It brought out elements I hadn't noticed in music I have heard hundreds of times before. Thanks to AMB for continuing to make...- Henrik Nordberg

MMM as a first project... is this a good idea?
Yes! Having just (about 30 min. ago!) finished an s11/m3 combo as my first project in 20+ years, I say Go for it! Make sure you use flux and pay attention to where you put things and you should be ok. Cheers, - Henrik- Henrik Nordberg

σ11 + γ1 + M³ BOMs
I have been following this forum for a while and finally decided to build a DAC and an amp. Since others (especially amb and Mister X) have contributed so much, I thought the least I could do was to post the BOMs for the units I will build (σ11 + γ1 + M³). Also, happy birthday amb! (Noticed it...- Henrik Nordberg
