I have a pair of ath-m50-le and it never clicks on me.I know some people has the same problem like you and they found out there ia a problem with their m-50 housing. You can try to find the thread. If I were you, I will return the can.

Thanks for your advice! :)   It's going to be a while until I actually receive it. I live in Canada and my friend will bring it to me by the end of the month.

You should check this site too:    http://www.soundprofessionals.com/cgi-bin/gold/category/525/audio   They sell it for $159.99 but they also offer $40 direct rebate. I bought the limited edition one from them. No problem at all.
