    Banshee is pretty awesome.  It's great to have *nix and Windows support.  I wish Winamp was universal though....it's just so lightweight and great.

    Wow.  It's pretty ridiculous to have such hard and fast rules as these...and then to still talk to the manager and get no where.  I'm glad Shure thought this was silly too.

    Random...but I just returned from Japan for my 2nd time.  I love going over and seeing middle-aged men in business suits riding the metro and reading manga.  It makes me feel like I belong somewhere :)

    Do i need to train my ears to appreciate headphones?

    I'm pretty ignorant in terms of audio quality, but i definitely noticed a change in the way my headphones sounded between when they arrived and after 50-70 hours of burn in.  Give that a go first.   If you still don't like them, like others said...you probably just don't like the headphones...

    Custom IEMs (1964 ears) for travel?

    They are great for travel.  I've used them a decent bit on the metro, removing one to hear the announcements.  Agreed that you don't want to lose one, so stuff it in a pocket.  But they are very comfortable and they block out a good portion of the noise when commuting.   I'd definitely...
