For BT audio, it's all about the DAC/AMP combo on the receving end AND the codecs used at BOTH ends. What you may want to do is determine if the crappy BT audio is because the GS8 didn't find a matching codec to your head unit in your cars, which makes it default to using SBC, sounds horrible...

The Snapdragon 835 specs on the Qualcomm site say that the AP supports both APT X classic and APT X HD. I really hope that means that we can expect to see those codecs implemented as standard. I'm also hoping for clarification on this.
