Cash converters gold........
I just leisurely strolled into cash converters today to find that they are an absolute gold mine for old portable equipment for cheap. I found the following obscure units plus two that are looking mighty attractive. Sony D-140 Sony D-173 And a Citizen CBM-2200 (wich looks like a clone of...- Cyanide

supercharge your Phillips HP890's
Do you think i could get away with using an old Computer PSU to power it? I know they pump out a steady regulated +\- 12v as opposed to the +\- 15v that the kit reccomends. Computer PSU's are also supposed to be verry stable and have low noise since most computer circuits are quite sensetive to...- Cyanide

Driver speed in relation to fidelity?

who works on pcdp's?
i doubt it would belong to the battery terminals since the player actauly operates , but comes up errors. I would suspect its from a control section , either motor or laser servo control. are you absolutely sure you cant find where it goes on the PCB. just a question , is the tip of the wire...- Cyanide

Something to replace my MX500
to be honest you dont want complete silence when your out and about with phones otherwise you may become unaware of whats goign on in you surroundings. The open design of the 497' allows some sound in , but at a minimised volume.- Cyanide
