    Funniness.

This does become apparent to everyone, but to answer your obviously arrogant and demeaning comment: When did photographers achieve the performance of mirroring different parts of the picture in different ways? Just mirror the image and look at the CD case... is there nothing worng with the text...

Does iPod get better with burn-in?

I never said that the iPod will benefit from burn-in greatly. But it is true nevertheless that with any analogic circuit, like opamps, which are the heart of any solid-state amplifier, burn-in does occur. Just go to the Amps Forum and you will see that many experienced Head-fiers relate to this...

Does iPod get better with burn-in?

Well... that's not actually true. It is in part but not really. The iPod is a digital music player... true. But the digital part ends when the information that represents the music gets converted into analogic data by the internal DAC. And analogic devices do get burned in. Memories get burned...

HYPERSONIC SOUND "speakers" are "LIKE" headphones.

The equipment from Sennheiser I was reffering to is called AudioBeam. It is a speaker system that can play extremely focused sounds that are audible in only a very small cone of space. Outside this cone an observer can hear nothing. Get the catalogue from Sennheiser's webpage and see for yourselves.

HYPERSONIC SOUND "speakers" are "LIKE" headphones.

If this invention is recent then the guy is kinda late. Sennheiser has this and has had it for quite some time

    iPod 5G batt

Power consumption depends on how much you use the LCD. That is the most battery depleting part of the iPod. Still if your battery runs down faster with nothing more than mp3 playback, then this is a problem. Li-Ion batteries don't need priming. They get their full 100% charge from the beginning...

Is ripping at 48khz better than at 44.1khz?

I think there is some confusion around here about this 44.1 - 48 kHz thing. This is the sampling frequency. It has nothing to do with the frequencies we hear (which are transmitted by air to our ears). The sampling frequency is the number of samplings per second which the digital coding machine...

    Hair problems

Therefore it is possible to go bald in that area of my head? That would be a problem because i don't like buds or in-ears (don't have the money for them anyway) and i'm not very content with giving up music for my hair Any real experiences from people who have had this problem? And I don't...

    Hair problems

Don't get mad and start to bash me too much please. I know this is a stupid question but I have to ask it. Can you go bald from wearing headphones? I mean because of the headphone always doing that "headphone hair" thing I repeat... pleeeeeeaaaaase don't bash me

Listening to loud phones reduces hearing accuracy?

Hearing loss occurs firstly in the HF domain because the cochlea is constructed in such a way that HF waves resonate inside it and form very powerful vibrations that strike the walls of the cochlea. On these walls are little tiny hairs that are connected to the audio nerve and they transform the...

Listening to loud phones reduces hearing accuracy?

It does... but not within 1 week. unless you've been cranking up the volume way past safe limits. Just don't listen to your music for a few days and it should be back to normal

    Distortion Harmful During Burn in?

Headphones are made to play sounds. Period. Many artists use distorts in their music. i was listening to some Apex Twin and if that is not distortion than I'm the Pope. A headphone doesn't distinguish between quality sounds and distorted ones. It does however distinguish beteen different power...

    My First DAP-MobiBLU-1500i-And It's DOA!

You guys are soooo right. But, you see, the problem is that if this kind of stuff isn't cheap enough for what it offers people (the majority of them) just won't buy. Many will, but many more won't. So the manufacturers cater to those that just don't care about build quality. This all started...

Why is my music no fun?

In my country the selection is quite slim. Only Sennheiser has a strong presence (and strong is waaaaaaaaaaay to "strong" a word for it). Koss is marginal. Grado inexistent. No one's even heard of ATH or Allesandro. So I have no choice. Anyway... it may just be the new toy syndrome, but I've...

Why is my music no fun?

AAAAAAAAhhhhhh! Money... wouldn't it be nice to have it. Better yet, even get to spend it on music stuff. Wonder why I didn't think of that Unfortunately I don't have money for this so I'l have to make due. The questions I asked are just so I know the answers not that it bothers me. i know...

Why is my music no fun?

First of all, I have an iPod Shuffle. The one w/o screen or EQ's. Second of all the bass is strong enough. I get a good seal and the bass doesn't disapoint. The problem is the music doesn't sparkle. It just doesn't deliver that much fun even though it is as accurate as I could wish for, since I...

Why is my music no fun?

So... I have an ipod Shuffle and a pair of PX200s. My computer plays through an SBLive and a Yamaha computer speaker system. I have recently ripped a Sting CD and listening to "When We Dance" it just made me wanna dance. I loved it. upon putting it on the Shuffle and listening to it through the...

Just ordered my HF-1's!!!!! Less than 20 left-

I'm a little confused. How come all grados are 32 ohms? Aren't high end phones usually harder to drive since they increase in impedance just as much as their price? If all grados sound great and most of them tend to be part of the high end of phones category, I really don't understand why they...

trying to find original test of iPod output.

it depends on what iPod you are reffering to. The Shuffle and the 5G aren't worse than other players when it comes to outputting music... they actually sound pretty well compared to most of what is out there. Plus the fact that I don't understand why exactly it is that people HAVE "to give...
