Sooo the Asgard 2 gets pretty warm and i have the modi on top of it. Am I ok in this configuration?

E-mailed support about the battery and the reply I received back was that the battery is not user replaceable.

I like the headphones and the idea of an amp. I just don't like planned obsolescence if that battery isn't replaceable. I'm do like the idea of a version without the amp also.

Battery replaceable? I'd like to listen to these at school/starbucks and the LCD-2s at home.

Just received my LCD-2s and currently using it with my Aune T1 that I used my HE-400s with. Currently running it on low gain with Genalex Gold Lion. It sounds great, but I'm wondering if I would benefit from upgrading to an Asgard 2 with Modi?

Have beats solved the problem of the plastic headband breaking over time from just normal wear on your head?

http://spares.sennheiser.co.uk/pro-audio-headphones/hd-25-and-hmd-26-cables It's the same connector on the hd25. It's a custom spade plug and you can only get the replacement cable from sennheiser as far as I know. I hope that answers your question.

Here are some pictures for the people that requested specific closeups of the plugs. The red and black plugs at the top aren't standard 3.5mm plugs and look proprietary as they are flat. Currently burning them in as they sounded harsh out of the box.

I would describe it as warm sounding with some decent sounding bass but do not overpower the mids and highs. The mids and sound flat and balanced. Not ear piercing highs like the Grado 325s that get fatiguing and not bass heavy like the Beats. Imaging would be somewhere in around the hd598s...
