Questions about ordering from Digi-key.
Make sure you order from digikey.ca. You'll be working with Canadian dollars. You go to the post office, and tell them you need a money order for $whatever amount. They'll take your money, and give you the MO. I think the service charge is around $2.50cdn.- bigmike216

SMD Soldering
when removing the bridged, are you wiping the pins, away from the chip? I find this worked best.. the bridge follows the iron until the end of the pin, then transfers to the iron.- bigmike216

PCB Layout help (NONOS USB DAC)
How about using a wall wart or line lump stype transformer? Or, alternatively, making your own line lump in a small project box? It can just sit on the floor. It'll get the transformer right outside of your box..- bigmike216

Sounds to me like they're trying to sell you the weller, because that's what the have... and it sounds like they have lots of them. I have both, and I prefer the hakko.- bigmike216

Bass Processor
From left to wight for circled bits. Your first two are the input jacks. They are switched jacks. 20v is the positive voltage input. Ground is conencted to the line across the bottom. the other circle, marked 500mh, is an inductor. With the capacitor, it makes a basic LC filter...- bigmike216

Those who have soldered a PCM2702E...
I also prefer soldering pin by pin. Use small solder (.020 diameter is good... .015 even easier ) And liquid flux. Put the flux on the pads before placing the chip, it makes it much easier. If you're getting solder bridges, add a little more flux, and slow down the solder feed. After you're...- bigmike216

Soldering iron questions
The I'd take a 926 over the weller anyday. If you're looking for a decent soldering station at a pretty good price, check out the circuilt specialists CSI station 1, or CSI station 2 (digital display) Tips are cheap too, and you can also use standard Hakko tips...- bigmike216
