I've used both the E17 and the O2 for my k702s. I think you'd be happy with either one. If you need a DAC it's hard to beat the E17 at that price. If not, the O2 really does a fine job driving the AKGs. It's a step above the E17. I've stopped looking for an amp for those cans.

I am very happy with my JDS Labs O2/K702 combination--great soundstage, high quality bass, tons of detail.  For the price, if you don't like it, you're not out much.  I was wary of this combo, because they are both known to be analytical pieces, but IMO the O2 makes the K702s sound as they were...

I compared them side by side through the same high quality source and I thought the 325is was easily worth the extra money, build quality and sound quality.

I have some fat bottle 6fd7s in there now, which are higher gain, but I don't like the way they drive my k702s. The amp sounds fantastic with my Grados. I'm looking for something to compliment them. I should probably consider the 250 ohm version, but they are more expensive right now.

I have a WA6 with some excellent tubes in it and I don't find it to be an amp with a lot of gain. I am interested in the DT880s, especially the 600 ohm version, but I am afraid the amp won't drive them well. Do you get enough volume and quality bass with the Woo/880 pairing?

I have 160GB of Apple lossless on my iPod and it works perfectly with long battery life. I listen to mostly jazz and never have any skipping.. You can hear the difference. XLD is a simple, fast program for converting.

I am interested in your thoughts about the E17 vs the O2 when paired with the AKGs. The O2 is quite attractive at its price.

I have been enjoying my K702s in my desktop setup with the E17. I've been surprised how well the Fiio drives them. Question: how much better do your AKGs sound through the O2 or whatever other amp you are using?

I'm curious about how that E17/O2 combo works out for you.  I'm contemplating that for my desk to drive my K702s.

That's what I did. With shared iTunes libraries, I can now get a digital out of all my lossless music anywhere in the house. Once again, thanks for suggesting this solution. BTW anyone else driving their AKGs with the E17? Am I crazy to think that this little amp drives the K702 very nicely?

I'm completely impressed with my E17, even when it's driving my k702s. I agree. It's one of the best bargains I've come across yet in this crazy hobby. I just hope it holds together for awhile.

Just hooked my iPad (version1) to the USB camera kit with a powered hub and it works great. Thanks for helping me get a digital out from my iPad. I thought it was hopeless.

I enjoy the sound profile you described, and I am quite happy with my Shure SE-215s. They sound great, seal easily and look very well made for $99.

I have been quite pleasantly surprised at how well my E17 drives my k702s for all styles of music.

I have K702s and the SR325is.  I say keep them both.  They compliment each other.  I don't find my Grados harsh at all, but I'm using a Woo tube amp with them.  I like the AKGs for more relaxed listening, but there are times I need to have those Grados just get into my head.  I will never get...

+1 on the E17. They are a very nice for the price.
