I've gotta go with my k550s on this one. The clamping force is light, but just hard enough to make it feel secure on my head. I've been wearing them for 5 hours straight today with no discomfort whatsoever.  Granted, I'm relatively new to this so I haven't tried on a very large number of...

Definitely the k550. I just got through my first weekend with them. They blocked out both my roommate's horribly annoying girlfriend perfectly and hardly leaked any sound apparently. Plus, the sound quality is way above what you'd get with the bose. 

I don't have the HD 600s but from my time listening to my k550, I can tell you that the bass improves a lot if you have a proper seal on your head. It's really not tough to do either, which is nice. I mostly listen to rock, classic, alternative, etc... and the k550s do a pretty good job at...

k240 mkII and k550. My 240's just gave out (a loose wire somewhere, I'm guessing), but I loved the sound while it lasted. I'm really enjoying the k550 too.

I had seal issues at first, but I just had to tighten the headband a bit. Apparently my head isn't as big as I thought lol. I love the way these sound and the ability to be driven straight from an ipod is a huge plus. As for the size, I'm used to going out in public with xb-500s so it's not...

My k550s just came in today. I've been listening to them for about an hour and a half straight, and I'm pretty impressed. They're pretty solid without being heavy and they're extremely comfy. 

Just ordered a set of k550's today. I'll try to post a review once I get them and get a few good hours of listening in. Sorry to resurrect a dead thread, but does anyone know if an amp would be a worthwhile upgrade with these? If so, I'd like something that could work with my laptop and my ipod. 

My k240 mkII's were made in china. They broke about 4 days ago after only about 4 months of gentle use (the left earphone completely stopped working). I've gotta say though, they sounded great, while they still worked. Hopefully I can get them replaced, or maybe I'll just upgrade to the Q701.
