Hi,   I've recently purchased some powered speakers & a powered sub, the speakers have only got 1 rca input & the sub has 2rca inputs(L&R). Would I need a receiver to play music from my laptop or would a USB DAC do the job?   If a DAC would be OK could I please have reccommendations...

A bit disappointed with them to be honest. I've been driving them using the pico amp/dac & they are loud enough at around 40% volume but they sound nowhere near as good as the ultrasone ed-8's(yes, I'm aware that they cost almost twice what the HD650's do).

Awesome sound while they work, expect them to fall apart after about a year though, my coppers have had the casing come apart after 11 months, previous pair had issues with the jack. Don't expect Monster to respond to any queries regarding replacement under warranty if you live outside the US...
