Agreed: Violectric sells the V222 on Amazon for $1,600. Power Holdings in New Jersey has it currently for $1,300. The Drop price was $940 and change.

I've written directly to Violectric asking for their explanation and will share whatever they respond. Meanwhile, I have a nice spot on my desk plus some new cables awaiting my V222.

I'm not happy with the delay or Drop's lack of information. But I'm still eagerly awaiting my sweet V222 at a price that's too good to pass up.

Let me rephrase my question: If you owned a high-quality headphone amp and DAC, used with your computer and with no issues, would you want/or need a music streamer?
