the mounting problem doesnt happen on ubuntu 12.04

I am having same problem.   Comes up as removable disc and nothing is there. I ran the fallback image from tools in emcore and that runs fine... back a build I goes....

Well I have had 10 hours out of the new build. 5-6 hours playing mp3(audiobook) and 4-5 hours listening to FLAC files. Battery is on 22%   I have 80GB 1G Classic from 2008

oh first time modding it? then yes you have to backup your IPOD media if you dont have it backed up already....   if u modded it before with emcore it has to be after a certain build and onwards that you used where it doesn't wipe the ipod upon installing the latest build

im guessing you just drag the fliles/folders    .rockbox patches applied rockbox.elf (not sure about patches and this elf file???)   over into the root of the ipod copy over the files and its ok(well at least mine is saying the newer build in infos)   I think you just have to...

Great-- I have copied over the patched version and will try it today. I have an 80gb classic from 2008. I mostly have FLAC on my ipod as I collect live bootlegs.  So I will be trying FLAC constantly at work today to test the battery life.
