you could always try the reversed bowl trick.. that's what i've been on and it satisfied my bass needs.

It will work, but they are different. (only affects the way they feel IMO, Sharp tips seem to be stiffer)

I've had mine for about 1/2 a year and I love them. I use them with reversed bowls, I'll buy flats one day. I used to use them with an 0404 and a PA2v2 but I'll be buying a Corda Aria one of these days hopefully.

I started with the MS1 and moved up to the MS2. I listen to a good amount of indie rock (Death Cab, Belle & Sebastian, Radiohead, Arcade Fire, Decemberists, etc.) as well, you will not be disappointed.

I stand by my CX300. They do need burn-in because they have TOO much bass straight out the box.

I just updated to the new firmware and from what I can tell from my CX300s is that the bass is definitely deeper.

just buy them already. honestly, i wasn't phased at all by the difference between the weight of the ms-1 and ms-2.
