Is burn in real or placebo?
I've discerned no changes in the sound signature of my Fidelio X1s after extended burn-in. Might update this with results from new JVC HA-S680s coming in a few weeks to see if any 'burn-in' is noticeable. I suspect advocates of burn-in are a lot like those who refrigerate their batteries. Went from velour pad ATH-M50 to the X1. If the countless other praises haven't convinced you yet, let me add my 5 cents. The comfort is supreme. The M50s would clamp so badly, I'd leave them on a Master Chief helmet to stretch out the band a bit--which helps, but couldn't wear them for more...- darko313
