    Shure SRH440 vs SRH840?

    I've been using the srh 440 for a couple of years now with the 840 pads installed for comfort. The 440 pads are way too hard. Dollar for dollar, (for a neutral headphone), they can't be beat.

    It was obvious a screw up there, and after a few days and several e-mails I managed to get what I'd consider a good price on them. Not $99 but <200. I'm happy and anxious to get them.

    I replied to his e-mail claiming any honest business would honor the price quoted even if it meant taking a loss.   I'm waiting to see what their counter offer is. If it's not pretty close to the original price, I may research e-bay to see if we can hold them to it.   I paid right away...
