The AKG K550 is very light and you can listen to it for hours without fatigue...also it sounds less artificial than the Q701...the pair I own is one of my favourite headphones...I use it with my mac mini but also with my Bakoon HPA-21 don't hesitate to buy it 

As a starter DAC I would strongly recommend you the MICROMEGA MyDac, I own the Auralic Vega which is much more expensive and I can tell you that the MyDac is one of the best DAC I've heard at this price point...I still love to listen to it...you can easily find it on sales around the globe...
