The Wizard Appreciation Thread - Long Live the Wizard - The former HA Appreciation Thread
I was surprised I bit the bullet and went with the 8.A seeing as that is the most I have ever spent on audio equipment. I know to many here that is nothing compared to the rest of their set ups but it was a huge step for me. Honestly, I am really glad I did as I really enjoy the 8.A sound. Is...- archer276

Quote: I am not going to use greenback's post as a reference, while there is much debate on the subject I will say that I agree with greenback. No matter how or why it has happened I have noticed a change in what I am hearing from my 8.A after many, many happy hours. I am not sure why...- archer276

Well since the wood faceplates can have a a different wood logo cutout, I would assume that you can have a clear or blank cutout that shows the faceplate color. I have no idea if they can do that with the mirror faceplate, but knowing Heir Audio it wouldn't surprise me if you can do that. I...- archer276

Thanks all. Yeah I didn't want to start a amp vs. amp war but I needed a few places to start. Plus the info on the impediance issue was great. I will take my question to the amp forum so as not to de-rail this conversation.- archer276

I hate to ask this since it is such a vague question with so many answers, but I am going to since so many Heir owners seem to be reading this post. Now that I have my 8.As in hand and ear, and I am using an Arrow 4G for my portable amp I have noticed by home DAC/Amp lacking. So I am asking...- archer276

I had really good luck with USPS priority mail for those of you in the USA. I got a tracking number and it was much cheaper than UPS or Fedex. It took about 5 days to make it to Heir from Texas. The UPS shipping back from China took longer actually, maybe because of the customs thing.- archer276

Quote: I they were to do that what would the point of the 3, 4 and 6 be? I am not asking that to be difficult, just wondering what the rest of the line would look like. I don't care how many parts there are in the CIEM, more so what it sounds like.- archer276

I would think the only model due for an upgrade this early would be the 6.A just when they run out of drivers. Everything else seems to be selling well enough as is.- archer276

The design was the hardest part for me. That is what kept me from pulling the trigger sooner. Once I email the Wizard my initial ideas and we went back and for a few times it really helped. I don't know how he does it, but he keeps coming up with these great ideas if people will let him, and...- archer276

Well that is kind of the reason I ended up buying the 8.A off the bat. Amazing how easy it is to give in and buy the 8.A over the 4.A when your boss drops some extra money you didn't expect your way. I would love to hear your comparison of the 8 and 4 if you do end up buying the 8.A.- archer276

Trust me I don't work for them, just ask my bank account after those 8.A. If only I had waited a month or so I could have gotten in on this deal. Oh well at least I should have mine in a week or so along with one of their new cables. Thanks Project86, the Wizard planed those out after a...- archer276

Headstage Arrow HE: Reviews, Impressions, Perceptions & Sensations
I ordered mine at the end of March, 28th or so, and just got it in the mail yesterday afternoon. I am in the US so mine shipped out from Cali. I am just loving the size of this amp as well as the sound quality from such a small source. I do have one question, is there a good portable way to...- archer276

I went with the 8.A, figured if I am going to do it, might as well go all the way. They will be wood faceplates, but there will be a pattern on them. Something the Wizard came up with based on some of my ideas. I can't wait to see how they turn out.- archer276

Well I managed to beat it back long enough to submit my order, now off to mail my paperwork and impressions. This is why it is always good to ask people who are more informed than you are. I got that feeling from the Heir website. AntLion ModMic review
I have been using 1 for about 2 months now and I love it. Easy to set up, great sound, according to others. They are really easy to place with the sticky pad and are still flexible enough to move around a little bit if you happen to be off a bit on your placement. The best part for me is that...- archer276

I don't know if that mic would or would not work, but if you are looking for a mic to go with good headphones for gaming may I suggest the AntLion ModMic. ATH-M50 sound leakage?
I will add that I do not get any sound leakage from mine running at reasonable volumes. These phones are really good, for me at least, at isolating the outside world. Finally, when I first got them I let one of my playlists run on repeat overnight and I had the volume up much higher than I...- archer276
