I can't find headphones I like. Tell me what to try next please!

I'm looking for the best pair of no-amp needed over-ears I can find. Here is a list of headphones i've had from best to worst. 1. Denon D5000 - Best headphones I've personally heard to date. I want to find something a little less bright and with a wider soundstage. These are often described as...

Closed or Open Back headphone recommendation $200-300?

Those don't come out until July. I'm wary of headphones geared towards gaming. The main function I'm looking for is music. Can you describe the sound? Comparison to other cans you've heard?

Closed or Open Back headphone recommendation $200-300?

Headphones i've owed in the past are Denon D5000, Sony MDR-7506 and Sony XB-1000. The D5000 were the best headphones i've ever heard with my own ears. From a critical view, they were too bright and the soundstaging was too tight. MDR-7506s I used to like when I was newer to high end headphones...

Whats a good step up from the D5000s?

After all my research and particularlty the Z Review, I think I'm going to give the Emu Teaks a try. But how reliant would they be on a headphone amp? I liked that with the D5000s they sounded pretty much as good plugged straight into my macbook pro as they did hooked into my mbox pro 3 audio...

Looks like Fostex TH900s can be gotten for $800ish. Any other competitors anyone wants to mention in that range?

Whats a good step up from the D5000s?

Hey guys, been awhile! Just wondering if anybody has any updated opinions on this? After deliberating for months I ended up actually having to sell my Denon D5000s to pay some bills. Now I'm back at looking for a pair of high-end cans. I'd like to give something else a try before just throwing...

When it comes to movies, I haven't the slightest idea what brands to look at it. I also meditate with headphones on listening to nature soundscapes that helps me manage my anxiety. Any help gents?

Whats a good step up from the D5000s?

I was thinking about giving the Fostex an order. Maybe the LCD-2 with it.   One thing I miss about my older cheaper headphones is they had a wide soundstage where as the D5000 sound is really tight. I long to have a comparable headphone with more space. What would you say?

Whats a good step up from the D5000s?

I absolutely adore the D5000s but i'm interested in finding out how much better it gets for the kind of music I like. I listen mostly to EDM and bass heavy hip-hop. All digital files but mostly lossless formats. I run my headphones through an mbox pro 3 interface. I'd be willing to spend up to a...

Amp suggestions to power Denon AH-D5000s?

Afternoon gentlemen. Just joined the community as I have recently purchased my first pair of decent (i think they are decent?) headphones and need your help. I am to understand that headphones of this type require amplification to reach their true potential. I am excited to find out what that...
