LG Quadbeat 3 Impressions Thread
speakerphone, I assume you will have measurements on your site once they are released? The Quadbeat 3 sound great, if AKG manages to improve sound even further they will be fantastic IEMs.- Kaffeemann

What's you opinion on the bass? From the measurements I'd guess that it can be overwhelming and/or slow at times.- Kaffeemann

Source causes Veil (ibasso DX90 vs Samsung Note 8.0)?
The Note 8 actually has good measurements, at least according to this site: http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_note_8-review-916p7.php I don't know what headphones they use for testing, though. If it's full sized then the results might not apply to IEMs. I noticed a similar difference...- Kaffeemann

We should be able to buy the IEM seperately just like with the quadbeat 1 and 2.- Kaffeemann

^ I also own the Quadbeat Special Edition. I'd rather wait for the Quadbeat 3 instead of going for the QB 2. The measurements look a lot better.- Kaffeemann

seeko.co.kr also has some measurements up. Looks great, the only weak point seems to be the 9kHz peak and resonance. Bass might be too much for some people. http://www.seeko.co.kr/zboard4/zboard.php?id=cool_review&page=1&sn1=&divpage=1&sn=off&ss=on&sc=off&select_arrange=headnum&desc=asc&no=462- Kaffeemann

Do u trust Frequence Response Graph ?? Innerfidelity
You should look at the whole graph, not just the bass frequencies. The compensated graph for the X1 is a downslope from 50 Hz on, with the exception of the 10 kHz peak. Meanwhile, the Q701 is almost flat from 100Hz to 10 kHz. The X1 also has more distortion in the sub bass, which might...- Kaffeemann

Sony XBA-100 thread
They measure distortion at 1 mW, which is 105 dB with this IEM. You won't ever listen this loud- It'd be better if they could measure THD at 90dB or so. Would make more sense.- Kaffeemann

Zero Audio - ZH-DX200 Carbo Tenore | ZH-DX210 Carbo Basso (Carbon & Aluminium IEM) thread
Here's a easy, reversible mod that Tenore owners should try (maybe it was already mentioned): Just wrap a couple layers of tape around the housing. Don't cover the vent. To me, the Tenore sounds a bit cleaner, especially in the bass that way. I assume the tape dampens some of the...- Kaffeemann

Damping Factor
If you look at other IEM measurements you will see that narrow peaks don't automatically imply that there will be ringing. IMO ringing in the treble is easily audible. If the treble of an IEM is harsh despite good EQ settings ringing is probably the reason. Overly long decay of bass...- Kaffeemann

stv014, can you perform similar measurements with an IEM that has a flat impedance response? Also, take a look at this.- Kaffeemann

Damping Factor
Yes, I don't think the FR changes noticeably. It would be great if someone could perform a RMAA test of this sort. Unfortunately my notebook only has a combined audio jack. My guess is that distortion and time domain characteristics in the bass are affected. Edit: And probably crosstalk.- Kaffeemann

I'm not the most intelligent person but not that stupid Of course I adjusted the volume. 30 Ohm changes the damping factor from 63 to 0.63.- Kaffeemann

Damping Factor
My 30 Ohm resistor finally arrived and Iistened to my iBasso DX90 (0.3 Ohm) and this IEM with and without the resistor. The bass does sound different with the resistor. Softer, more blurred, it's harder to hear single bass notes.- Kaffeemann
