speakerphone, I assume you will have measurements on your site once they are released?  The Quadbeat 3 sound great, if AKG manages to improve sound even further they will be fantastic IEMs.

What's you opinion on the bass? From the measurements I'd guess that it can be overwhelming and/or slow at times.

The Note 8 actually has good measurements, at least according to this site: http://www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_note_8-review-916p7.php I don't know what headphones they use for testing, though. If it's full sized then the results might not apply to IEMs.   I noticed a similar difference...

We should be able to buy the IEM seperately just like with the quadbeat 1 and 2.

The rockbox EQ has eight peak filters, a low shelf and high shelf filter.

You should look at the whole graph, not just the bass frequencies. The compensated graph for the X1 is a downslope from 50 Hz on, with the exception of the 10 kHz peak. Meanwhile, the Q701 is almost flat from 100Hz to 10 kHz.   The X1 also has more distortion in the sub bass, which might...

  They measure distortion at 1 mW, which is 105 dB with this IEM. You won't ever listen this loud- It'd be better if they could measure THD at 90dB or so. Would make more sense.

Yes, I don't think the FR changes noticeably. It would be great if someone could perform a RMAA test of this sort. Unfortunately my notebook only has a combined audio jack. My guess is that distortion and time domain characteristics in the bass are affected. Edit: And probably crosstalk.

I'm not the most intelligent person but not that stupid  Of course I adjusted the volume. 30 Ohm changes the damping factor from 63 to 0.63.

My 30 Ohm resistor finally arrived and Iistened to my iBasso DX90 (0.3 Ohm) and this IEM with and without the resistor. The bass does sound different with the resistor. Softer, more blurred, it's harder to hear single bass notes.
