I tested it out and true, it does increase excursion higher up in the frequency range, but at the extreme low end, excursion was decreased quiet a bit (which was my goal).  I've taken them out for fear of damaging the woofers for now, but am still on the fence about using the plugs.    Can...

Appreciate the response!  I'm looking for a setup mainly for speakers.  Eventually may add some phones but that's not a priority right now.     I guess my biggest question is: At this price point, are the A5's a good choice?  Or is there an amp/speaker setup that is considerably better...
