So one or none of the Portapros you might find in your city being sold by reputable retailers you would suspect of being bootlegged? Legit retail outlets, right?- Drums4money

REVIEW: Cayin C5 - A new reference in portable amplifiers
Google translation is great at giving you words, but the context can wreck the intended statement. The only thing I took away from the Cayin rebuttal was that even if they're using similar components, that their arrangement may be different. However, I agree with earlier posts. The...- Drums4money

Just arrived today. Foam deteriorated, but a quick re-build & they're good to go. I was pleasantly surprised. Vocals are good. Treble isn't brash. Bass extension could be better, but overall they're nicely balanced & comfortable.- Drums4money

I was thinking that it could be wrapped very easily with paracord. Pull the ends through like you'd wrap an eyelet on a fly-rod. That'd be a quick fix.- Drums4money

A few pics from re-building the ear pads: Cut "grill cloth" from some leftover window screen. The phones originally had material glued in place over the driver vents on the diaphragm side. Here's the grill cloth glued in place. I used shop vac foam to create new...- Drums4money

whoa. just received a pair of these today. funky for sure. A little grimey, but I guess that's to be expected in almost 40 years of dirt collecting. Foam internals of the ear pads has long deteriorated. The nylon ear pieces pulled away (carefully / slowly) without tearing, so reloading...- Drums4money

My two-wheeled motorized diversions: The Honda's a work in process. Needs the carbs sorted so it's close to being road-worthy. Probably just in time for winter. The Guzzi is a really-really fast tractor. Plenty of pull and a very satisfying ride around the PA countryside. Ducati is the...- Drums4money

Koss KSC75's. Dont Forget This Giant Killer in all the ''Hidden Gem'' Hype.
Just a little thicker than the KSC's. I find them VERY comfortable on this light-weight setup with so little pressure on the ears. In contrast, I prefer the Grado G-Cush on other frames. It felt to me like frames with a little more spring tension could eventually compress the yellow...- Drums4money

Koss KSC75's. Dont Forget This Giant Killer in all the ''Hidden Gem'' Hype.
Here's a lazy Sunday project that was done before I could manage to get a beer open: * KSC75's on sale for $9.99 * Parts Express band (Part # 240-015) $1.99 * Senn HD414 pads leftover from a project. $8-$10 The PE band comes with extra foams that are slightly thinner than the Koss...- Drums4money

Music City Meet -- Nashville, TN -- Fall 2014 (Sept 20, 2014)
Greetings from a Nashville ex-pat exiled here in PA. Wish I had a work or a family excuse to get back to mid-TN. I only stumbled across the thread last night. This sounds like a great event I wish I could attend. It'd be the perfect opportunity to get back to Leiper's Fork with my euro-trash...- Drums4money

Koss KSC75's. Dont Forget This Giant Killer in all the ''Hidden Gem'' Hype.
I love the KSC75's. Not a fan of the clips, but the PE headband does the trick, and the updadet FiiO e11k puts it over the top. A little late to the party but today I noticed Kmart has them on sale - in store and online - for $9.99. I picked up 4. Their tag on the wall indicates that the...- Drums4money

Questions about Grado comfort.
Have the sennheiser yellow pads on my Grado 125's. Listening to them tonight for the first time in quite a while. I find them very comfortable. No complaints versus the stock grado "s cush" pads. I can't offer any dramatic sonic support of one over the other. However, there's a big difference...- Drums4money
