So sorry people but noob question. When updating the new firmware, should I do a factory reset before or after doing the update?

Is it me or since installing the latest update the 'wifi buzz' has seem to got louder and more intense?? I haven't installed any apps besides Spotify which is what the DAP is mainly used for.

I just recently updated spotify on my X5 and now it sounds terrible. It still sounds normal through the Fiio music player or watching a Youtube vid which obviously means its the app. I have uni/reinstalled a couple of times and cleared the cache but hasn't coming good. Anyone had trouble likes...
