Not sure if that's the right address, but Kangseo-gu and Gangseo-Gu are just alternate spellings for the same place.- k186

Whoa that's crazy. Just from wearing over ear? I've been using the colored cable since day one and unplugging/replugging them every time with no issues. I also wind the cable to fit it into the travel case. That said, the colored cable does have a soft outer plastic and I can see it stripping...- k186

The number of BA drivers has nothing to do with the need for burn-in or not. Even with that said, there's still only 1 dynamic driver here. It's the way that dynamic drivers make sound different from how BAs work that burn-in even plausibly has an effect on the sound of dynamic drivers...- k186

I've never heard of burn-in for BA drivers. And it's questionable as-is for dynamic drivers. Just sayin'.- k186

This sounds just like the H-300 in a standalone review context. More the reason that we need A/B impressions. Great job on the impressions, btw! Edit: had quoted the review in full before- k186

Hey, that's totally fair and I respect your opinion. I'm not trying to question what you heard at all or your preferences. I was trying to say I would like some more A/B impressions and not impressions from memory. Thanks for the response.- k186

I'm experiencing the same thing. At first, coming from the RE-272, they were super bright. Now after about a month with these, even with the treble spike, I've adjusted to the sound and actually quite enjoy the treble presence and don't even notice the spike really. And DAT BASS. Sooo...- k186

Particularly, I'm having trouble reconciling statements like this (sorry - not trying to single you out!) with what seems to be the general consensus from people who've heard the H-300 that from memory, the DN2K is the better IEM.- k186

Does anyone have both the H-300 and DN2K to do a proper A/B? I think @svyr does. Would you mind doing a more extensive A/B comparison? Or are the differences so apparent that people's impressions from memory are generally accurate. I'm just wondering if it's worth it to purchase a DN2K if...- k186

I drive them out of my Galaxy S4 unamped and FWIW I think these benefit greatly from an amp, especially in the bass department. But, to answer your question, they still sound very good without an amp.- k186

Weird. Must be that I can't tell directly through my Galaxy S4. I can't get the Black cable to work through my amp, so I can't compare on anything better than my phone. I was unable to notice a significant enough difference to be able to say it was in fact not placebo.- k186

Hey, don't be disappointed. I actually really really liked my RE262s while I had them. My car got broken into and someone stole them, which is why I bought the RE272s. I DEFINITELY missed the mids on the RE262s. It's definitely a lot richer, and more intimate on the RE262 than the 272. But...- k186

Holds a special place in my collection as it has consistently been my daily driver for several years. Sad to think if anything happens to my pair I won't be able to get another one.- k186
