Xears Thread (formerly TD III)
Got a replacement for my broken TD-III's a couple weeks ago, after several weeks of using the A330's it was like being reunited with an old friend. I ended up liking the A330's for what they do, shameless bass with no regard for other frequencies. They're muddy and sluggish, but together with...- copasetic

Looking for a pair of headphones
If isolation is very important then I'd consider looking into a pair of IEMs instead of full size phones.- copasetic

Bass Heavy Headphones
I think I can echo what bowei006 is saying. I bought a pair of HTF-600's recently because I wanted a 'fun' pair of full sized headphones for at home, so naturally I thought the warm basshead phones were just what I wanted. Well, I wasn't disappointed by them, but they're not what I was...- copasetic

Electronic music starter needs suggestions...
Probably not exactly what you're looking for, but I'm pretty into the downtempo/trip hop/chillout genres, so here's a few from that direction: Bonobo http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N7m86aMNjlQ Grifta http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Nb-x1QxON8 Blockhead... -
Xears Thread (formerly TD III)
Just in case anyone's interested, in the end I settled on the translucent tips that come with the A330's and the following EQ settings on the J3: 80 Hz : 6 300 Hz : 5 1.4 kHz : 1 2.4 kHz : 3 13 kHz : 5 BBE: 6 Mach3Bass: 4 3DS : 2, MPE on, Stereo Enhance off So pretty...- copasetic

Xears Thread (formerly TD III)
Part 2 of my A330Pro impressions: They've had about 30 hours of burn in by now, so today I sat down and went through a variety of music with both the A330's and my old TD-III's (with the cord held just right so both sides would work...). So after all that I've concluded the A330's do only...- copasetic

Xears Thread (formerly TD III)
Quote: It's not terrible (I've certainly heard worse), but it doesn't have quite the same "pop" that the TD-III had. They're definitely pushed back, so you end up with what I can only describe as one layer of sound that contains everything from bass to vocals to highs, pushed down into...- copasetic

Xears Thread (formerly TD III)
My A330Pros arrived today, they haven't had a chance to burn in yet but I thought I'd share my first impression of them. My last pair of Xears were the TD-III v2's, I hated the cord but loved everything else about them. Sadly one side gave out a couple weeks ago, so I perused the dozens of...- copasetic
