    DIY tube/valve adapters

One more thing to add, above what has been said already here, I've just finished drawing new pcb for my new tube supply, and the way I've designed it is that heater voltage is provided by lm350, and although I can push close to 3A through it, I don't think the temp management I've implemented...

    Marantz HD-DAC1

That is correct, Lowest I got is 62ohm (akg-k701), drives them just fine, same as 300ohm hd800, same here, although this to be said, my other amp, (diy piece) drives k701 with much more current, which those cans like, this results in more natural and truly fantastic low end. I love k-701's low...

Yes usb would be much better option, in comparison to the optical. Give it a go.

    Marantz HD-DAC1

I'm finding HD-DAC1 very engaging, being paired with my HD800 and AKD 7XX. I have been using many Marantz products over the years, and for some reason I keep coming back to their gear. Personally I'm finding their higher line to be very much musical, just can't stop listening,  I have other...

Rank the Headphones that You Own.

HD800 (worth the money, for many reasons) K701 (fantastic headphones, these sound so damn good, it's my personal best buy ever, so well worth the money, you can get these for ...) HD595 (my first good sounding headphones, still love these) HD600 (these are OK, but for me, just OK nothing...

Headphones you regretted buying the most

I May sound odd, but, hd650, here is why. In comparison to my k701 sound is so flat and so "in head" that I can not stand it, and that head band and padding, it's putting far too much preasure on my head and paddign is a bit punctual, so as result it was a real pain to put them on, for some...

    Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread

I'm on the other hand going with hd800 this time, I just miss my k701 and the way they present the space and air arround the instruments :-) gave a listen to hd800 many times, as friend of mine has a pair, and I seams to be in love with them, same kind of love I was with 650 before though :-)...

    Sennheiser HD650 & Massdrop HD6XX Impressions Thread

Quote: For some reason I found the 650 being not that comfortable as I thought,  ... hence the decision to let them go ... I don't know why but initially I was very happy with my hd650 but after a while I actually noticed that they are bit of to tight I should say ... Anyway, I'm up for...
