My music tastes are so similar to yours,and I use AE-1 to drive my HD600 and er4p.I would say ae-1 is so well to play these music in my opinion

My ae-1 improved some dgrees after breaking in.The sound feature becomes more detailed and the headstage is more defined.

well,I got the amp,too.Because I was very busy all day,therefore I just tried the er4p.The source was sony pcdp d335,I used strigtwire min-rca cable. I thought ae-1 improved the sound performance of my setup a lot.And yes,it provided a smooth,warm sound.Most important it increased a lot bass...
