well i haven't owned the ex81's, but i have owned the 71's, which are comparable i believe. i currently own the super.fi 3's, and enjoy them for my purposes. to answer your question, i think you'll get 1. and 2., but bass is quite lacking on these guys. i EQ mine to get a little more bass...

agreed with the IEMs. i take the bus to work everyday, and normally wear my ex71s which do a decent job of killing ambient noise, but don't take out the engine/fan noise. i've tried wearing the hd201s on the bus, and it just doesn't do a very good job of isolating. i'm sure the e2's would be...

the listening post on south aiken street, it's the plaza near walnut street. they've got sennheiser's there (555,580,595,600) and i saw two grado's there (the sr-60 and the sr-80) i think. i'd give them a look.

that was awfully fast guys i guess to get to the point, i've got a pair of ms-1's, and have the comfies on them right now, but want to try some of the other pads (sennheiser 414's, flats, bowls) and wanted to id the large replacement pads they're selling for 15. i'm doubting they're flats...

it looks like it's linked to the current lowest price out on the internet, a quick froogle search showed up before that when it went up to 190, the amazon page also went up. and doing a quick search now, the lowest i see for refurbed 600s is 200. the 590's are also back up fyi.
