Returning HD555 - Help me please, going nuts

Hi, Firstly, I am from the UK, so no amps here. Nor did I wanted to have one initially. I thought my onboard soundcard was decent enough, but even the Audigy won't be able to drive the 120 Ohm version HD555s. Secondly, I am a gamer, and I play games 80% of the time, mostly battlefield 1942...

Hi, I am a bit confused as to what soundcard to upgrade to - Can anyone give me some advice ? Torn apart between Audigy 2Z and Audizy 2Z Platinum. I recently Bought the Senn HD555 (120 ohm version) and they sound horrible through my onboard Soundmax soundcard. Would the audigy be able to...

its £70 (I can get an Audigy 2 ZS 7.1 here for £50, and Platinum for £120 which is out of my range....) Like I said, not really into music - just 20% of the time.

Alright, I think I need to get a new soundcard I've got onboard sound so the cans sound horrid. Play games most of the time so need to get an audigy, unless there is a better card out there. The choice to make now is, Audigy 2 ZS OR Audigy 2 ZS Platinum Pro OR Some...

HD555 with Soundmax (P4C800-E Deluxe motherboard)

Hi The sound on my cans is really bad with the settings/onboard sound card. Just wanted to make sure its the card and not the settings causing the bad sound quality. Anyone else configured theirs with Soundmax ? Any settings ?? Cheers

Bought Senn HD555 , not having a great time.

Ok peeps - looks like I have a bad soundcard then. What do you recommend I should do now - can ANYONE confirm the HD555 are good for games WITH a decent soundcard ? I've got creative inspire 7.1 speakers but bought nice headphones so that I don't disturb people around me, but the headphone...

Bought Senn HD555 , not having a great time.

Hi, I bought the Senn HD555, plugged it into my Soundmax built in soundcard (the one on ASUS P4C800-E Deluxe - http://www.asus.com/products4.aspx?l...75&modelmenu=1). Changed the settings to Headphones in the SOundmax applet and tried playing Battlefield 1942. To be honest my £20 headphones...

    Recommendation for Portable/Occasional Music/Gaming

Hi, I need a multiple purpose headphone, which should sound good as sometimes I listen to music, either on the PC or in my Axim PocketPC. I am a gaming nutter so 80% of the time it will be for gaming. I will plug it to the back of my 7 channel audio card (on the motherboard), but eventually I...
