iFi audio xCAN - The Official Thread
Hurry. I know the world is fighting it's way out of a pandemic and there's a chip shortage and probably other supply chain issues the general public has no idea about. But with your (and your competitor's) products discontinued, there is nothing in the market right now to fill this decently...- all thumbs

iFi audio xCAN - The Official Thread
I know the IFI reps can't comment on unannounced products, but I hope the XCAN and XDSD are replaced with units with similar power and form factor but the newest Bluetooth codecs.- all thumbs

Monoprice Monolith Liquid Spark - By Alex Cavalli
I mostly bought the V40 because the DAC was tuned by a different company and they included EQ. I just got Audeze ISine10s and most people not using the Cipher cable with them use EQ. I didn't want to root and use V4A (for reasons). Overall I find it similar in power output for higher ohm...- all thumbs

Monoprice Monolith Liquid Spark - By Alex Cavalli
On my third Spark. This one finally works well with no electrical issues. Customer service experience could have been better. If you have to make a return, hurry, or you will have issues if the replacement is also bad. I had to buy the third one outright as an advanced return for the replacement...- all thumbs

I post exactly the right amount for me. I'm aware of why, I just think it's funny. I'll try to let everyone know the results of my customer service call once I make it- all thumbs

Monoprice Monolith Liquid Spark - By Alex Cavalli
Pretty sure my Spark has a short. I'm getting a full volume distortion hum unless it is sitting exactly right with the power chord seeming to be the bad connection. I'll be contacting them tomorrow or Tuesday about a replacement. Edit to add that I love that I'm a new Head-fier based on post...- all thumbs

New iBasso Portable Amp/DAC: iBasso D14 "Bushmaster"
Can it be used while charging? I'm contemplating an affordable rig that will have a budget high rez portable DAC/AMP and a discreet desktop amp like a Magni 2 uber or Asgard 2. I'd like the DAC to charge while in use.- all thumbs

Oppo PM-3 : The Portable Planar - Impressions
The discussion of the 4-8khz range lull that folks are finding with the PM-3 makes me think, what is the range of Sabre-glare? So many new hd DACs and DAPs coming out with Sabre dacs, if the ranges are closely matched could this actually be intended?- all thumbs

OPPO PM-3 Portable Planar Magnetic Headphones Loaner Program
I'm glad this was asked. I'm a few folks behind Stillhart, and it feels like its been weeks since our list moved. Jonezing to hear these cans. My HE400 need a more portable partner and the PM-3 seems ideally suited to my tastes. I'm very grateful for this loaner program, but waiting is always...- all thumbs

Oppo PM-3 : The Portable Planar - Impressions
I just missed your post when posting just now. Thanks for answering. Yeah, I know about closed vs. open in general. My UE6000 seem to have nearly the soundstage width as my he-400 though. Honestly compared to the UE6000 and my Grado 125i MCA woodies, the bass and detail are the big deal for me...- all thumbs

Oppo PM-3 : The Portable Planar - Impressions
Thanks for your response. Do you still have the he-400? Is your comparison direct or from memory? I'm listening to the he-400 now and while I like the bass body, the sound isn't the most natural overall. I was honestly hoping to replace the he-400 with the PM-3 just because of the overall...- all thumbs

Oppo PM-3 : The Portable Planar - Impressions
I'm very interested in these headphones and have signed up for the loaner program. My planar frame of reference is my HE-400 and my closed portable is a UE6000 that I run only in passive mode. By the time I get the PM-3 in the loaner program I will likely have either a Magni Uber and/or an Oppo...- all thumbs

The WS99/WS77 PG 57..
Thanks Dannybai, I really appreciate that you took the time to do a comparison and relay your thoughts. You haven't dissuaded me from getting the WS99. It seems like they'll make a great closed/portable complement to the HE-400, and will make me pretty freakin' happy in their own right. Editted...- all thumbs

The WS99/WS77 PG 57..
Has anyone heard these and the Hifiman HE-400? Is the WS99 comparable in bass quality and quantity? How does detail compare, considering planar vs. dynamic and their pricepoints? I just demoed the HE-400 for a week but other recent hits to my budget have had me looking very seriously at the WS99...- all thumbs

Affordable DAP with available LOD
Quote: I just don't really like Apple, although I try not to be too much of a hater. I've watch their business practices drift since the 80's into everything they purported to be against. Also their software is so much different than what I am used to that it gives me a headache...- all thumbs

I realize that you can use the headphone out into an amp, but it's not ideal. I'd like something that has a clean line level output that will bypass the unit's own built in amplifier.- all thumbs

Is the original Sansa Fuse the only affordable, readily available, non-Apple DAP with available line out dock cables? Couldn't determine via search. Xears Thread (formerly TD III)
Just wanted to thank everyone that's posted about the XE200Pros. I ordered with the online coupon code, and after kind of a long wait, I've been very happy with them. I ordered the ebony black/brown model. While the packaging and accessories were obviously a little spartan, the earphones...- all thumbs
