OPPO HA-2 Portable Headphone Amplifier/DAC Discussion Thread
I received my HA-2 today. Before I purchased it, I emailed Oppo and they said it would be compatible with my iPod Classic 160 GB firmware 2.0.4 and I could bypass the DAC in the iPod using the USB connection. wood1030 also confirmed that his iPod with that same firmware worked in an earlier...- ecoman

OPPO HA-2 Portable Headphone Amplifier/DAC Discussion Thread
The Oppo source said you could run it through the USB and the HA-2 DAC. I'm looking for someone who has done this and can explain the improvement. I think some earlier posts in this thread said they had achieved compatibility with the iPod and the HA-2.- ecoman

OPPO HA-2 Portable Headphone Amplifier/DAC Discussion Thread
I emailed Oppo about HA-2 compatibility with iPod Classic 160 gb, and they said it would be compatible if it has iOS 2.0.3 or 2.0.4 software. Has anyone with these versions tried the HA-2 yet and, if so, do you think that the HA-2 DAC significantly improves the sound quality?- ecoman

Shure se530. Is there a counterfeit?
I don't think they were defective. I had the same experience and I know I got a good seal, since I had previously used the Shure e2c and e4. I sold the Shure and returned to the UE Super.fi 5 Pro I had been using. If you want better bass, that is a better choice.- ecoman

The Best High End IEM For Me!
I've tried the e500 and the Super Fi 5 Pro and still prefer the latter for classical music. The e500 is far too bright, especially on brass instruments, robbing them of their natural timbre. The Super Fi, despite its faults in accuracy, has a much more natural sound and a much better low end.- ecoman

IEM for trumpet player
As a former classical trumpet player, I found the sound of the E4 to be unnatural and harsh and shifted too much toward the treble end of the spectrum. Very fatiguing. I much prefer the super.fi 5 pro.- ecoman

Triple.fi 10 pro vs. Shure E500: A Timeshare Proposal
1. It's less than $40 for two days, since you would get a partial refund from the later sale of one of the IEMs. 2. I don't want to buy both of them and send one back, because I'm not sure I will be happy with either of them compared to what I have. I may reject both. 3. If the reward for...- ecoman

Triple.fi 10 pro vs. Shure E500: A Timeshare Proposal
Triple.fi 10 pro vs. Shure E500: A Timeshare Proposal The problem: I want to personally audition the triple.fi 10 pro vs. the E500, because I often disagree with other reviewers’ sound preferences, and want to hear them myself. I personally prefer the sound signature of the super.fi 5 pro...- ecoman
