I might be getting one, Sony's latest attempt seems to have failed. Thing is though, I'm not really an Apple fan, or, I just don't want to join the iPod craze.

Depends on which you value more. If a longer battery life and most likely more durabilitiy is more important than space, than go with the Sony. If not, go with the Creative. Either of the two are good choices.

Can someone explain this to me, why is this walkman so big? I mean, really, I can understand a little bigger than the HD5, but this is even larger than the iPod, with less features.

I hope so, I was thinking about getting the Vaio Pocket.

The only thing holding me back from purchasing it is the fact that I'm not a fan of the buttons and there might be a HD-6 which is released soon that I'd really want. Thanks for the impressions though, excellent review.

I'm kind of on the edge. At some times, it looks really good. Some times, marginal. Sometimes...meh. I wouldn't say that it's any better or worse than the others they've made. They also said it's smaller than the previous ones, which is interesting.

I'm interested in the HD5, and from anyone who has used the model, can you give a detailed impression on it? Ease of use? How do the controls compare to the clickwheel of the iPod, how easy would it be to find songs, etc. etc. etc.?
