North Toronto Meet 7/26/08 (56k, no way!)
The “lethal voltages” is a modded Aikido built by looser101. Renato's probably sleeping in as he's on vacation, so I'll answer for him. -
Mississauga/North Toronto meet
Sounds like if no one steps up and take reins, the default meet location will be downtown Toronto at Jay's new place. Does Jay know that? My only concern with having a venue downtown at Richmond & Spadina would be public parking for anyone driving.- Pixel Pusher

Mississauga/North Toronto meet
Been meaning to chime in here. I'm in for another meet in the GTA or possibly south of the border. Just to confirm is this now a general Head-Fi get together or is it a coming out party for Oriel aka Purity Audio as originally suggested?- Pixel Pusher

Should I Cancel My Q-jays Orders? Help! Head-Fi!!
I personally advise not canceling and to keep your initial order with Headroom. I understand that it can be difficult waiting, the choice is yours though. The q-JAYS are covered by the manufacturer's 2 year limited warranty. Warranty service in Canada is carried out by Atlantia, the Canadian...- Pixel Pusher

Malakei, I would also suggest you fill in your Head-Fi user profile if you want to take charge, especially before messaging anyone if you plan on doing so. -
Ontario Meet #2?
If you're serious and want to organize a meet, I would suggest start with reading the “meeting suggestions” thread, sticky at the top of this forum if you have not already done so. Sounds good? Next, I would suggest you gather the attendance list from the previous Toronto meet and PM members... -
McAlister Audio--who's had recent contact?
I speak to Peter on a regular basis and can assure anyone that his phone has never been disconnected. In fact, I spoke with him earlier this morning. I will be seeing him tomorrow afternoon and will bring up the issues on AudioCircle if he's not fully aware.- Pixel Pusher

Yur fav martial arts flicks
I'm particularly fond of martial arts “revenge” flicks, where the protagonist's family gets wiped out and it becomes his/ her life long mission to seek vengeance. Kudos/ major bonus points if the protagonist learns gongfu from a book and still needs to design & develop a special weapon to defeat...- Pixel Pusher

Recommend a damn good bike lock. Experience preferred.
If cost is not an issue, I would highly recommend the “Stocks Lock” (http://www.stocksmfg.on.ca). It's made of stainless steel with integrated flexible cables, allowing the lock to bend away from leveraging or hammering forces. IMHO it's one of the best on the market and I commute in Toronto...- Pixel Pusher

Dungeons and Dragons
I have very fond memories of playing Dungeons and Dragons basic 1st edition to AD&D in the 80's. My older brother of 2 years used to run the RPG club in junior high, HS and the club at our public library which usually served as our venue. If I remember correctly “The Keep on the Borderlands”...- Pixel Pusher

What 80's (cartoon) series would you like to see as a movie?
Voted for “other” I think a live action “Thundercats” feature would have a lot of potential, as long as they don't camp it up and make the characters look like “Cats” the musical!- Pixel Pusher

www.blueberryaudio.com?
Almost forgot, Joe also made the Blueberry G4HA which was a transportable running off two 9V batteries. Funny enough it's listed in HiGHFLYiN9 signature in one of the earlier posts above. Meaning he had at least 4 woody amp designs.- Pixel Pusher

As far as I know as well, Blueberry Audio is no longer in business. My last contact with Joe was in June, 2006 while trying to obtain service for my Blueberry Epic '84 SET. Quote: Originally Posted by terance I have one of two "mini woody" Millet Hybrids for sale. Are you...- Pixel Pusher
