The Sennheiser HD580 Impressions Thread
I've recently left the HD580 camp to join the HD595. Used the 580's for about 5 years, powered by a Pioneer at first and a Denon amp later. Great cans, truly love them in every aspect but 1. I don't know if it's just me on these boards, didn't read the entire thread, but my cable wears...- Selachii

Sony NW-HD3 (full review)
allthough playlist were a bit of a for me at start, I really don't see the use of them atm, I usually play by group (all, or 1), but I don't use playlists on my pc either so that might be the reason.- Selachii

[Sony NW-HD3]Alternative casings
To protect my lovely HD3, I decided to check around for cases. The official cases aren't in great numbers, sony has 1, on ebay some silicons are offered, some leather, but that was it. The local hardware stores had plenty of 'small camera' pouches and skins. All were 'nice', but none were...- Selachii

nw-hd3 or sony pocket vaio 40gb?
I have held both Vaio and HD3, the Vaio is huge, the body is about the size of an ipod if not larger, then add the huge buldge on the right side. It makes this player unfit for most 'pockets' if you want to carry it around that way. HD1->HD3, still just the mp3, the hd3 doesn't come with a...- Selachii

The more "audiophile" portable?
I don't have any charts or graphs to back my opinion up, but my HD3 delivers a chrystal clear line-out signal (you can set the 3mm jack to function as a line-out in the menu on the player). However some ppl are experiencing a hiss in combination with a certain type of headphone. Classic plays...- Selachii

Sony NW-HD3 (full review)
heh, cheers! I could only remember the grudge the reviewer originally had that he had to rescroll his position in the list after leaving the mode screen.- Selachii

Sony NW-HD3 (full review)
I just found out something that some of you might not be aware of. When you have selected a song, from whatever 'mode', and you are in the 'now playing' screen. Holding down the 'mode' button will return you to the mode screen and focus on the song that you previously selected there. So you...- Selachii

I think you should set mode to 'album', go in the album, and have 'play unit' enabled ? hmm... I haven't actually tried this tbh, gonna mess around and get back, busy reorganizing all my music and importing etc The NW-HD3 is such a lovely device, it encouraged me to get organized ... me even!- Selachii

silver=standard black=very nice and stylish red=sexy and...unexpected pink..nm I didn't know whether to take the black or the red one. Got the red one, just to take a different color, for a change. I think the color will 'last longer' aswell. I mean, mentally As far as SS, I have...- Selachii

Sony NW-HD3 - a conclusion?
I got mine today aswell, boy is it a sexy machine. Anyway, I don't have any background hiss, whatsoever, using MDR-Q55 (yeh, not audiophile-approved) or either my HD580. (btw SS isn't that bad actually, I only use it for the transfer process and it's hella fast!)- Selachii

Sony NW-HD3 (full review)
yeh, I've got SS3 installed. (no HD3 yet ) I allready have all my albums sorted in folders according to their genre, so I guess that'll stay intact if I load them in the HD3. I'm still curious how the SS3-playlists are handled by the HD3- Selachii

Sony NW-HD3 (full review)
great thread, I'm about to buy an HD3 and this thread has truely been 'reveiling' Anyway, the groups stuff is the only thing that bothers me a bit atm. I have SS3 running, and it supports playlists. Will playlists show as 'groups' in the HD3 ? If it does, do you still have to have files...- Selachii
