Sennheiser HD 598 Impressions Thread
I just received my 598's in the mail today! I decided to go with these because of what I read on this thread. My only concern was the bass. But so far, it seems perfect! I could probably go as far as saying it has a LITTLE too much... That could just be my set-up? FLAC>FLAC Player (app)>ipod...- Jenavar

My portable amp set ups
I a I agree. I'm sure FIIO 'allowed' this to keep costs low, and as you mentioned, if the user can't hear it, then they wouldn't care. For me, once music begin playing, the hiss is shadowed, only noticeable if my iems are plugged in and no music is coming through the amp. Once I have a...- Jenavar

My portable amp set ups
Quote: Almost every review or "first impressions" I've read points that the E11 will hiss with sensitive iems. I don't notice it when using full sized headphones, for example the Sony XB500. These are only only 40 ohm, and I cant hear the hiss while using them, I can only imagine with...- Jenavar

My portable amp set ups
The E11 is great. I do get a little hiss from it but thats due to me using it with my Westones 4 which dont really need an amp to drive. Same hiss when I use them with my UE 4PRO customs. I'm sure the hiss will disappear with headphones that actually require the amp. I mainly use it with my...- Jenavar

Westone 4 Impressions and Reviews Thread
Quote: The Inmotion Entertainment stores (located in airports) had them on clearance. Some people got them as low as $200 I believe, mine were priced at $220 at LAX. Thanks for the recommendation, I'll def check that one out! From what I've read, most IEMs dont require an amp to be...- Jenavar

Westone 4 Impressions and Reviews Thread
Hello folks, so I picked up a set of W4s for $220 from inmotion stores last week. I am currently using them powered from a FIIO E6 amp with the music coming from an ipod nano 6th gen through LOD. Can you guys recommend a better amp (if necessary)? looking for something portable if possible...- Jenavar

The IEM/Portable Headphones Deal Alerts Thread - Closed! Use the Deals Thread III instead.
I can confirm kidcharlemagne. I too bought the Sony XBA-1 for $35 at best buy (Downey, CA). There was no way anyone could pass that up for $35! Also, I just picked up the last pair of Westone 4 at inmotion entertainment at LAX for $220 ; they did have 2 Westone 2s left for $100.- Jenavar

Just got my UE 900's
What kind of music do you generally listen to? If you can do a quick review that would be great! I own the UE4 PRO and these obviously only have 2 drivers, so I've been thinking of upgrading to the UE 900. I figure a 4 driver IEM with a good fit is probably better than a dual driver custom.- Jenavar
