My headset mic sounded like crap in Counter-Strike when I tried the AV710. If you don't use a mic or have an alternative USB mic then you'll be fine.

Paul, No, mine have been very sturdy. I wear them to bed each night, and when I wake up, they're who knows where--off the bed, under something, ya never know. And the rubber buds have only fallen off 2 times. I've had mine for many months... I think you got a defective set if they're coming...
